Villa Flor do Monte is a country house with a privileged view over the South and North coasts of São Miguel Island, located just a few minutes from Lagoa do Fogo and some of the most beautiful walking trails. It is a very comfortable and welcoming home, ideal for those traveling with friends or family, and has everything needed to make guests feel at home. It consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, a living room and a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a gallery where you can contemplate one of the best views of the island of São Miguel. Outside, guests can enjoy a large and well-kept garden.

The house consists of ground floor and floor -1. Guests have access to the ground floor in its entirety, as well as to the car park within the property.

We will be waiting for you to check-in, hand over the keys, explain everything you need about the house and give some suggestions about the island, what to visit, what activities you can do and where you can taste our cuisine. We can also help with renting a car and organizing various activities on the island, such as whale watching, canyoning, trails, bicycle tours, among others.

Villa Flor do Monte is in the municipality of Lagoa and belongs to the parish of Remédios. A few minutes from the house we find good options for super markets, local shops, natural pools and restaurants. Just outside the house is one of the most beautiful trails on the island of São Miguel, the Janela do Inferno trail. Lagoa do Fogo is 2 km away and going to Ponta Delgada will not take more than 15 minutes.

There are some public transport alternatives like buses and Taxis. But to get to know the island, the ideal is to rent a car.

Take care of the house as if it were yours. Please do not smoke inside the house. There is a spectacular garden where you can smoke your cigarette. The house is not suitable for parties. If you have to receive guests, talk to the host first. Take advantage of your holidays to relax and renew your energy.

Breathtaking experience

Beautiful area and very close to many sites. Property manager was very helpful. Close to some of the best restaurants on the island.

Fabulous view and location

On the positive side, the house has the best view on the island, just fabulous. The property manager Francisco couldn't be nicer, more helpful, accommodating and more professional. I recommend him completely. Marina, is lovely, meticulous and cleaned the house weekly and perfectly. On the negative side, the house is dated, the beds are terrible, linens of poor quality and the furniture is old, musty and uncomfortable. The water pressure and heat in the showers is poor and difficult to control. And, not part of the listing, is the fact that there is a family living in the lower level. Had I been told that, I would not have rented the house. They are paying 10% of what I paid. This is really unacceptable. And if you like your privacy DON'T rent this property. On the n

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, well equipped house with the most beautiful views.

This is a lovely house with a completely equipped kitchen and amenities. Francisco, the property manager was excellent to follow up on emails and messages from the time of booking and during our stay. He was also most helpful suggesting a local car rental company, arranging for a whale watching excursion and suggesting some delicious restaurants. Although the decor is slightly outdated, there is a beautiful sunroom, the most iincredible views of the hillsides, farms and ocean, and lovely flower gardens. The house was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the welcome basket of local products and great coffee to start us off. We also appreciated the opportunity to check in early. Thank you Francisco for making our stay most enjoyable.
