The space
Villa Mariogo is all about appreciating the outside space - in excess of 3800 sq metres surround this detached villa in the quiet area of Salicos on the outskirts of the popular former fishing village of Carvoeiro. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
Added in June 2022 is our newly constructed Garden room - a great outdoor dining, relaxing and entertaining space. Updated with mains electricity, power points and fridge.
The focal point is without doubt the large pool area, which when viewed on google maps is one of the largest in the area, has a sloping surround with adjacent beach area complete with bamboo beach umbrellas drinks tables and sun loungers. The children can play in their own pool as well as in the sand with their buckets and spades and build sand castles all without leaving the property. There’s also a children’s play area which has been carefully sited in the most shaded part of the garden, ensuring it can be enjoyed throughout the day.
The two story Villa consist of 4 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms,( two bedrooms with double beds and 2 bedrooms with single beds ) All bedrooms can be transformed into family bedrooms if requested.
Downstairs cloakroom, fully equipped kitchen, living / dining room with fire place, utility room, numerous options for alfresco dining as well as 2 bbq areas.
The entrance to the property is through double secure electric gates leading to the huge turnaround space driveway.
Upon entering the property the main hallway leads to the kitchen and public rooms and two of the en-suite bedrooms, one
double with option of an additional single bed being added, the other twin bedded. With the option of being converted to a king size.
All rooms, upstairs and downstairs, lead to the outside terraces equipped with table and chairs for alfresco dining which overlook the pools, garden and bbq area.
Going up the sweeping staircase will bring you to the other 2 bedrooms, one super king size bed, the other a twin room again each with the option of adding a further single bed or travel cot.
All bedrooms have airconditioning, large built in wardrobes and full length mirrors.
Baby/toddler pack: which can include cot, high chair, sterilising unit, baby monitor, bed guard and baby sleeping bag, can be provided for an additional charge.
There is a selection of toys for young and old including a full table tennis table and garden swing and slide.
There is high speed internet using fibre optic, 50” Smart TV, a selection of books and games.
Out and about in the surrounding area, there is something for everyone-water parks, go-carting, Zoo Marine, live music venues , fine dining options, rambling , water sports, boat trips. The list is endless. You could even do nothing and just sit by the pool and relax with a good book.
Golf lovers have a range of options ranging from championship to par 3 where you can opt for a sundowner session and get back in time to fire up the bbq for alfresco dining under the Algarve sunsets .
At Rocha Brava 2 kilometres away, you can play tennis, do Zumba yoga or Pilates, hire electric bikes or just stand and have a beer.
The surrounding area is a walkers paradise and you can join local groups who are welcoming of visitors. The coastal walk, much of it covered with a board walk which means those less fit can do these walks and so not miss out on the fabulous scenery in the area.
You have several choices of beaches including Benagil, Marinha, Carvoeiro, Albandeira, Carvalho, Vale de Centeanes all within 5 minutes drive away where you can do water sports or boat trips along the coast line. You can of course make a day out and travel either east or west along the coast to explore all the Algarve has to offer.
The village of Carvoeiro is about 3 kilometres away with an abundance of restaurants cafes and bars to suit all tastes and budgets as well as a range of shops - very much with holidays in mind If you don’t want to drive a taxi ride is approx 5 euros and we highly recommend using Ubers.

Other things to note
Each bedroom has generous wardrobe space and drawers at your disposal enabling even suitcases to be stored.
There are some locked storage areas around the property as this is our family holiday home. We ask that you respect these areas and do not attempt to access them.
