My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. The check-in/out process was smooth, and the area was safe. My main gripe is that the room was not cleansed to resort standards: there was a used dental pick on the floor, the refrigerator top was dusty, and a frame was partially stained.

We stayed for 10 days at this property. We researched our options and chose this property for several reasons. It had great ratings and the beach came literally up to the property line so the beach was beautiful and easily accessible. Staff was very friendly. We were disappointed due to the air conditioner not functioning in the main living area, which we reported several times and was told it would be replaced. I finally gave up calling and asking for help. The front desk did admit that they should have stayed in better communication with the maintenance crew. It’s very hot this time of year. W/ the setting sun coming through the west side of the property, it gets very warm. The other problem was the king size bed mattress was HARD! Front desk mentioned it had been replaced, but I think these were the cheapest option because they were hard and very uncomfortable. I mentioned to the front desk unless they upgraded to a softer higher end mattress, I would not be returning. Having a decent air conditioner and a very comfortable bed is so important! The air conditioning problem was documented from the first day I got there. Front desk did not offer me any type of discount or respite. After spending thousands of dollars a small discount would have been greatly appreciated ! The hot tub needs a better entry and exit system, the small set of stairs is steep and difficult to get in and out of. The courtyard tables need to be cleaned daily.

On the beach, great views

Our second story unit was literally right at the beach where we could watch sea turtles, whales, and rainbows from the balcony. The place was clean and walking distance convenient to shopping and dining. Having the kitchenette was nice for some in-room meals.

The air conditioner was broken in the one bedroom Unit 303 at Kahana Beach Resort and sounded like a leaf blower in the living room where I was sleeping on the sofa bed. It was so loud we could not hear the tv and it was difficult to have any conversation. I had to turn the a/c off to sleep and the room was hot. The maintenance man said the a/c was broken and brought a fan to help cool the living room. The noise and heat ruined my vacation. I asked to be moved to a different one bedroom unit and was told there weren’t any available. The resort also refused to provide any compensation. I’m a world traveler and this unit was the most miserable experience I’ve ever had!

Hello, Yes - the hot tub was not working for 4/5 nights we were there. The outside gas grilled stopped working - was only able to use them 1/5 nights - igniter was not working properly. I notified the front desk 2x about these issues/concerns. We should have received a discount or credit for these issues. The company charged us resort fees, but the property was not up to standard. Also, seems like non-residents are using the amenities of the property - they should crack down on non-residents using the amenities.
