Great staff, comfortable room

A collision on the TCH unexpectedly and significantly delayed my planned arrival but, once I was able to get to Mountaineer Lodge, I was thoroughly impressed by the kindness and warmth of the front staff (Otilija and her colleague, whose name I did not get). They really went out of their way to be so welcoming and accommodating, which was greatly appreciated. The reception area also had a nice array of beverages, and freshly baked cookies. I had the fortune to stay in one of the beautifully renovated rooms, which was well-equipped with thoughtful touches. This room was close to the reception area and the loud music from there could be (faintly) heard in the room but, it was either turned down or off once it got late, and was not bothersome for sleep. Wifi worked well and location was very convenient to access the various attractions and shuttle/bus service. Thank you, Otilija and colleague, for your wonderful hospitality!

The sheets had stains and the bed itself sagged immensely. The AC had no movement, and when it did finally kick on, it was so loud. The facility had a washer and dryer available, but the dryer needed to be run twice to get everything dry. The hot tub was very nice and spacious. The room included a boot dryer, which was super helpful

This place is great if you want to see the sites at Lake Louise, as you can walk over to the few shops and restaurants around and take your bus up to see the lakes. At first they put us in a tiny closet room next to the laundry and vending but after complaining about that room, another guy was super nice and redirected us to a room more worthy of the high price. Our upstairs neighbors sounded like a herd of elephants but I think that was just unlucky. The hot tub was a highlight, super clean and relaxing after hiking or skiing. Overall, great location and nice rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountaineer Lodge! This was my second visit and I was happy to return. The bed was very comfortable and there are numerous thoughtful features throughout - good bathroom lighting, boot dryer, kitchenette, etc. We also loved the steam room and spa.

Only rooms in the main lodge have AC with a $40/night extra charge. This information should be listed and highlighted CLEARLY on the website. When you pay $400+ per night for a room, AC is expected. Also, they ran out of food both mornings at breakfast. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for eggs, bacon and hash browns to be replenished. High end room rate with low end service and amenities.

Excellent stay here, walking distance to the town and close to the lakes. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were cozy, clean, and warm.

Very good location near bus stop to Lake Louise which cost $2. We also took a tour to Lake Moraine and the pickup was very close to the hotel. We arrived to the hotel early to go on the tours and we were allowed to park in the guest parking area. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Hotel offers guest laundry if needed.
