Old World Charm

The shared spaces and grounds of this place give the feeling of staying in a grand estate. The inn keeper is extremely helpful and kind. The property is older and our room was average, but our stay was made memorable by the lovely charm of the inn itself.

The hotel is vintage in age, design and decor - so different from "seen one, seen them all" modern facilities. Location is close to town but feels rural and a bit rustic - just what we look for in lodgings while on holiday. Staff went out of their way to be helpful (calling for taxis and food delivery when our phones wouldn't operate) and making suggestions for day trips in the area. They treated us like family! Be aware that the television might not work (high winds had disabled the connection while we were there) but wi-fi worked fine. We would certainly visit again!

Virkelig bra, fantastisk utsikt fra 2 etage mot vannet. Veldig stille og rolig, fine turstier og sykkelstier i nærområde. Enkel men solid og god frokost som man kan nyte ute på terrassen om været tillater det. kort spasertur til sentrum. Fornuftig pris på værelser.

Per una notte va bene

Ho scelto questo hotel perche volevo fare una tappa tra Oslo e Stavanger (siamo arrivati tardi al Gardermoen) volevo un posto comodo con parcheggio e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Partendo da questo presupposto direi che ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative. L’albergo è un po’ datato, la camera piccolina( eravamo 3 adulti) e la colazione molto basica.

Koselig gjestegård ca 15 min gange fra Larvik stasjon og kort vei fra E18. Rommet mitt var helt ok. Ligner litt på et motellrom som man kan få ved amerikanske veimotell. Helt ok standard, god seng med eget inngangsparti. Et lite kjøkken og greit bad. Hotellet har nok flere rom i ulik standard. Resepsjonen stenger tidlig og er ubemannet om natten. Ingen restaurant, men en liten snackbar ved resepsjonen. Helt ok frokost. Kaffe og te i lobbyen. Koselig atmosfære på stedet og hyggelig betjening. Helt ok overnatting for tilreisende for en natt eller to.
