The room was fine except no coffee. The hotel is all smoking in common areas, no restaurants for anyone under 21 so be prepared. Even their idea of general store was out of breakfast sandwiches etc. Pool is in the shade most of the day and feels as cold as a mountain spring. More like an ice bath. Quite inconvenient had I known I’d have stayed in Boulder City much better options.

Staff that was available was very friendly and accommodating. However it was very hard to find anyone in the casino floor. The single cashier was almost never at station. At one point waited over 20 min for someone to come back, even y take a floor drink server who was also unable to locate the cashier. I eventually left and returned later next day only to not find anyone else for another 15 min. Somewhat frustrating, but the overall stay was very nice except for that. Room was very good, clean with good accommodations. No coffee in room, but the have is free coffee coupons for any of the hotel food locations. The general store was said to be the best for the view and it was quite good.

The property smells strongly of cigarettes. I had a cockroach type bug in my bathroom. The front desk lady (can’t remember her name, long, thick blond hair) was very rude from the moment we walked in. We got to the front desk and instead of checking us in was telling us to grab a luggage rack and that we should have used the handicap door. I told her several times I did not want a luggage rack and just wanted to check in. The check in process was somehow incorrect and she had to re-enter all of the information I had already entered via the Expedia app. Not sure if their system is just old or if she was continuing to be difficult. The rooms were booked together but she rudely asked me to go and get checked in with the other front desk staff and then proceeded to ask what my problem was. We ended up having a loud argument as she continued to be rude and unhelpful. She finally adjusted her attitude and gave us good food recommendations and told us about where to see the goats. The property surrounding the hotel was beautiful and conveniently located next to the Hoover Dam. Boulder City is a sight to behold and I highly recommend walking around in that cute little town.

It is cheap and you can hike to the dam from the lodge. Tacos and toiletries were good. Carpets and matress cover were icky.

The casino is very small, which is nice if you don’t want to do a lot of walking. It wasn’t busy so having a really small casino floor didn’t matter. We found out the hard way they shut down their restaurant June 2024. So they advertise that they have all these little restaurants which is false advertising and they should really stop doing that. What they have Are snack bars in different flavors like Mexican Chinese American but it’s all pre-cooked frozen and when you order it, they warm it in the microwave. The employees are tired and most of them have very low morale which I understand because the hotel is dead so they’re not making any money But if you want a quiet little getaway without crowds without feeling like you’re at a truckstop, hotel and casino this place will work. But you need to plan on either bringing your own food or going into Boulder to get a decent fresh cooked meal.

We booked a Suite King bed, but it’s not until we got there when we were told it was not dog-friendly. We were given a standard king bed room instead at the same rate we paid for the suite. The hotel only credit us 15 dollars for the pet fee. Also, the showerhead broke off while I was in the middle of my shower.

The hotel is old and I bit worn but the staff were helpful and friendly. The casino was horrible. None of the 5 fake restaurants had real food, just all deep fried bar food. Every fake restaurant was out of half their menu items. The place is not as advertised and not worth the trip off the beaten path of Vegas.

Quiet, fun and great before/after a river trip.

This hotel and casino was clean, staff super friendly and convenient for our needs. Rooms (upper levels) were nice and the bed comfy. And very reasonably priced. The hotel is older so there were some small issues like shower not draining well, but overall ... I'd stay there again.
