Disappointed by the pool area. Our stay was Sunday-Monday during extremely hot weather. The Plaza has 2 pools, one open to everyone and the other to 21 and over. When booking our room there were no notes, warning signs that the 22 and over pool was closed Tuesday-Thursday. There were a lot of families with kids that made the pool time very unenjoyable. They only have a few couches and beds for seating and all were reserved. There was no waitress or bar service at the seating you had to get up to order. They had private cabanas/pools but these were also shared with families and you had to have a minimum $300 food and drink order. The food, drinks and bartenders were amazing. The rooms were not bad but the bed was as hard as a rock, so if you like firm mattresses then these rooms are for you. The casino floor was covered in slots, enough that it was hard to walk through and the majority of the dealers at the tables were so unfriendly that we only played one night and not for long. I don’t know that we will stay here again.

The cafe was great, convenient and delicious. Access to shops was great. the Bed was too stiff for my liking, the shower pressure and water temp was great, however the water is wild, it is not contained in the shower and gets all over the floor OUTSIDE of the shower. The AC is weak, it did not get cool, even when maintenance fixed it, it was cool for one night and then had issues the next few nights.

I missed my first day due to a canceled flight. The staff and management wouldn't give concession. The rooms were old and in need of an upgrade. I understand this may happen in the future. We ate mostly off premise, so I can only review the buffet restaurant. The food was okay, but they could use an upgrade on the sparkling wine for the mimosas.

As annual visitors, Palms has treated us well for the last few years. This year, however, felt a bit flat. Being far from the strip, we liked that there were pluses for being a club member here that made up for it. However, besides contest giveaways, there were little to no specials or benefits. Still, the beds are comfortable and the selection of food has always been nice. The food court has improved in cleanliness and the staff were very polite. Overall, besides special events and the club floor, I wish there were a reason to choose here over places near the strip.
The breakfast is always my favorite.
