Stayed on two separate occasions over a week, level 4 was great and had been renovated and included all the expected items. Level 1 was budget at best - very tired and in need of repairs. Items missed from the tea and coffee station. Showers were hot on both occasions and the bed was comfortable.

The room was surprisingly spacious with great in-room amenities and a very comfortable bed, making for a relaxing stay. I was also impressed with the room service menu – plenty of good options and everything arrived fresh and well presented. The only downside was the parking. I had pre-booked a space, but on arrival there were none available, which was disappointing and inconvenient after a long drive. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent room comfort, but parking reliability needs improvement.

This is not a 4.5 star hotel and should not be advertised as such and in my opinion doesn’t even rate 3 stars. The only redeeming factor was the staff were pleasant and efficient. The room needs a complete update. It was a good size but completely low tech. The only available power point was hidden down low behind the desk, no outlet next to the beds. No USB outlets which are so common these days. The fridge and tea making facilities were hidden below the TV. Terrible lighting and ridiculous light switching system. The bathroom, whilst reasonably large was a complete joke. The shower is in a very small, narrow and slippery bathtub with soap and shampoo dispensers awkwardly located behind you. What ever happened to the good old cake of soap? The once ornate gold taps are worn out and inefficient. Only three tissues in the hidden dispenser, obviously hadn't been checked by housekeeping. The only good things were the comfortable bed and the supplied writing pen, although not supplying any stationery made the pen rather useless. !0:00am checkout is way too early considering breakfast didn't cut off till 10:30. The buffet breakfast was only just average. The scrambled eggs and over-done bacon were both cold, some of the assorted fruit was not ripe and thus inedible and I only managed to find the weet bix on the second day. For the money I paid this hotel is woeful and in need of a major renovation. I would have only given it one star if it weren't for the staff. Not recommended.
