Nice hotel.Many positives but a few niggles too...

Pros: Large swimming pool. Fast, reliable, free wifi. Great breakfast, excellent dinner. Very nice bar/lounge. All the staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Rooms a little tired looking. Ski/boot room cramped. Rather scary gaps in the stair banisters could be a worry for those with little ones.
Location: Great central location on the main drag in Wengen, a short walk from station/cable car.
The hotel's in a great central location. Ideal for the Swiss Ski school and right next to the cable car. It's a very short distance from the train station too. Nice welcome with a glass of mulled wine from the very friendly reception staff on arrival. Straightforward check in process. Our room was a 'superior' double but there wasn't really anything superior about it - in fact it was pretty small and looked rather tired. It served our needs well but for the relatively high price we paid I was a little disappointed. That said, the room facilities were good: we had a TV with a huge range of international channels, and a well-stocked mini-bar and coffee/tea making facilities. Our bathroom had a bath and shower. The free Wifi was very fast and reliable - a pleasant surprise. The beds were very comfortable. As with most ski hotels it was baking hot, as was the rest of the hotel. Downstairs there's a really nice, big swimming pool, which our 3-year old loved. The bar/lounge area is great, with a roaring log fire, comfy chairs and sofas and a play room off to the side which kids including ours enjoyed. There's also a video games room with a big screen TV, Wii etc. Also downstairs is the ski/boot room which was a bit cramped when everyone was in there trying to get boots on, but served the purpose. It opens into the street for easy exit to the lift. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and dinner v nice. So in summary - great hotel if rather expensive. I would definitely stay again.

Die Abendessen war gewöhnungsbedürftig. Speziell und nicht schweizerisch. Das Personal freundlich, aber fast niemand hat deutsch gesprochen. ( nur englisch und französisch). Wir fühlten uns fremd in unserer schweizer Heimat.

Die Leute an der Rezeption waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Leider haben wir im Restaurant sehr schlecht gegessen und es ist schade, dass es so grosse Unterschiede beim Personal gibt bezüglich Arbeitseinsatz. Ausserdem wäre es wünschenswert, wenn bei allen zumindest Grundkenntnisse der deutschen Sprache vorhanden wäre. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, vor allem auch wegen des Spabereichs.
