The apartment is on the first floor of a traditional stone-built, two-storey building in the serene town of Piano di Peccia. This spacious apartment is flooded with natural sunlight and enjoys breathtaking mountain views. There’s even the option to use a sauna and a private balcony where guests can bask in the sun and enjoy alfresco dining.

Inside, the spacious open-plan living space is furnished with a comfortable double sofa bed, a sofa, a large dining table and a digital flatscreen HDTV. This area also incorporates the kitchen, which is equipped with: a Nespresso coffee machine, a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer.

Location

The property is located in the tranquil alpine hamlet of Piano di Peccia, tucked away in the heart of Switzerland’s Vallemaggia. Surrounded by towering peaks, forested trails and mountain streams, this is the ideal base for hiking and wildlife watching. Visitors can spend days exploring the Val Lavizzara Trail, which connects the villages of Peccia, Mogno (a 17-minute drive), Fusio (a 20-minute drive), Brontallo (an 18-minute drive) and Broglio (a 12-minute drive). From Fusio, travellers can also hike to the scenic alpine lake of Lago di Mognola, and a 30-minute drive will take guests to Bavona and one of Switzerland’s most iconic waterfalls, Foroglio Waterfall (Cascata di Foroglio).

Art enthusiasts will appreciate Centro Internazionale di Scultura in Peccia (an 8-minute drive), which celebrates the valley’s long tradition of marble carving with workshops and exhibitions. Whilst here, travellers can also explore the region’s historic stone carving traditions at Cava di Marmo di Peccia (a 5-minute drive), a marble quarry with guided tours. Foodies will enjoy the local Alpeggi (Mountain Farms) that operate in the Summer and the small weekly market in Cevio (a 25-minute drive), which also offers regional products. Cevio also offer a variety of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and pharmacies. The closest local restaurant is a 10-minute walk, and there is a grocery store a 9-minute drive away.

The closest international airport is Lugano Airport (LUG), approximately a 1-hour 30-minute drive.
