My family and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Leicester and was genuinely impressed by the warm and friendly hospitality from the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable – it really made the experience special. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and ideally located for exploring Leicester. One point worth mentioning is the parking: the hotel currently offers a great £6 overnight deal at the Highcross rooftop car park, which is about a 10-minute walk away. While this works fine, it would be even more convenient if the same offer could be arranged with the NCP car park directly opposite the hotel – it would make arrivals and departures that little bit easier. Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely return. The team here truly know how to deliver genuine hospitality.

I recently stayed at this hotel and booked two rooms, expecting a comfortable experience. However, I was quite disappointed. Both rooms were connected, but oddly enough, not with each other—they were connected to rooms occupied by other guests. While a connecting room wasn’t necessary for us, this arrangement was poorly thought through and significantly affected our stay. Unfortunately, the guests in the adjacent room were very loud, especially around midnight, having loud conversations that made it difficult to rest after a long and tiring day. I tried to call the reception, but the in-room phone either did not work (possibly due to its age) or went unanswered. This left me with no option but to physically go down to the lobby around midnight and file a complaint regarding Room 315. Though I was assured that the situation would be handled—and it eventually was—the damage was already done. I had a restless night and was unable to get the sleep I badly needed. For a brand like IHG, I expected much better service and responsiveness. Additionally, the hotel staff didn’t leave a great impression either. Their attitude lacked the warmth and attentiveness that one would typically expect from a hospitality team. Overall, this experience fell well short of the standard I associate with IHG properties. I hope the management reviews this feedback and makes improvements for future guests.

Perfect for an overnight stay

Overnight stay. Arrived early hours of the morning - check- in very efficient and friendly despite the antisocial hour. Late check out offered as we were getting there so late so we could get some rest and not rush to leave. Staff couldnt have been more helpful. Easy check in and convenient room. Parking has changed and now a 10 minute walk to the Highcross Shopping Centre on the top floor…. A trek with a disability. The breakfast was quick, easy and very nice service. We use the hotel when I pick my daughter up from University… so easy for walking into the city for restaurants.

Ok ok service not up to the mark.

It was alright but not up to tue mark as the tub was blocked while bath and their was no one to accompany to the room while check in just hand over the key. And their was not air con workbg as we payed hight price with all the facility to be mentioned while booking. Otherwise the stay was good but not up to the mark as we payed for it.

A lovely two days stay.

When I got to this hotel I was slightly early for my check inn. I was told it was not a problem and reception found me a room for me just the same as I booked. All the staff were very friendly and could not do any more for me. I had breakfast both my two days I was there, the food was very fresh and good quality. The service was very good. Kurnal came to my table and cleared my plates for me, he then asked if I wanted anything else. I ask for a cappuccino and he went a got if for me straight away. My room was very clean, I had everything I could of wanted. I ordered room service on my last day , just like breakfast, it was fresh and good quality. The hotel is in a good location. The King Power stadium about 20 minutes walk away and the coach station about 15 minutes walk away. There are plenty of shops and places to eat and drink two minuets walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here, and i would stay again.
