Quiet setting, off street parking at rear (near room). Tastefully decorated and set out. Kitchen well stocked. Good communication with Shaun earlier in the day. Ceiling fan was on when we arrived. Hot water plentiful. Comfortable bed. Lounge a little low. Not a large complex, only a few rooms with spacious, private, covered BBQ area at rear with colourful lighting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, (considering the 40 degree celcius day we had in Lightning Ridge)!

We didn;t get a chance to use all the property's facilites such as the outdoor dining and cooking areas. Loved the night lites. The shower was small and floor very slippery which was difficult and shower head way to close to wall which was a shame. The toilet bowl was not fixed to the floor which gave us a fright when reaching for the toilet paper.

A horrible place to stay

The place was poorly presented, the common area was locked up, it had no door between the bedrooms, no extractor fan in the internal bathroom, no safety devices such as smoke detector. I don't think it would pass an inspection. One sink served as hand washing from the toilet and washing dishes, and the water was lukewarm. There was nowhere to sit, the bedrooms were too small. Unable to close one of the blinds. In all, it was rubbish. We had booked two nights but found somewhere else to stay for the second night. The photos online were not deceptive of the actual accommodation. It is well known around Lightning Ridge for its poor presentation.

We were placed in a self contained unit which was very nice. Decor was bright and cheerful, bed was comfy and there was a washing machine and dryer which was great after a week on the road. The reverse cycle heating wasn’t working very well so we cleaned the filters and it then worked perfectly- they were completely blocked up. Small kitchen was sparsely equipped- it could do with a few more basic things like a chopping board and a microwave dish. Would definitely recommend the place though.
