The hotel is conveiniently located on the upscale Liberdade avenue with many of the Lisbon attractions located within walking distance. We found all the staff to be friendly and forthcoming. Special thanks to Ines (inez?) at the front desk for helping to pay my parking ticket using her personal phone. The included breakfast was good and offered a wide variety of treats. Our room was nice with two fairly large windows facing the lively street but without letting in any noise. We thought that the interior was a bit too dark with so much black color being applied everywhere. We would stay at 138 Liberdade again.

A Perfect Boutique Luxury Stay at 138 Liberdade Our stay at 138 Liberdade was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This beautiful boutique five-star property is set in the best neighborhood in Lisbon, right along a fabulous street filled with luxury shopping and dining. It’s the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The rooms were a very nice size, spotless, and refreshed daily with care. One of our favorite spots was the charming back patio ideal for afternoon cocktails, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. The fresh sushi made daily was an unexpected delight, and the stylish indoor bar with its piano created a wonderful ambiance for evenings. What truly set this property apart was the service. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help whether making excellent dining recommendations and reservations, or assisting with transportation and logistics. Prior to our arrival, they even organized airport transfers and communicated via email to ensure every detail was taken care of. As a luxury travel designer, I was especially impressed with the high level of attention and personalization throughout. This hotel exceeded expectations in every way, and I would highly recommend 138 Liberdade to anyone seeking a refined and memorable stay in Lisbon.

Avenida Liberdade is the main shopping area in Lisbon, and the 138 is in the heart of it. Everything about the hotel was perfect for us: front desk, the rest of the staff, the restaurant and the parking (since we were renting a car to drive to Barcelona). The room and the restaurant were great.

The location of 138 Liberdade is amazing. The gentleman at check-in was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the noise from the hallways and other rooms made the stay challenging. Beyond that, the restaurant needs major attention at breakfast. The first day, we were presented with menus to order cooked items. The second day, no menus, lights off, coffee machine broken, and long waits to get coffee orders. The inconsistency was not only frustrating but also unprofessional. I would not consider the property 5 star as it needs significant improvements with regards to service and noise control.
