The pool area does not have view of ocean. The location by water is convenient. There isn’t easy beach access or I haven’t found it yet. :/ Staff is very friendly and helpful. Size of room for suite is positive.

Exceptional Stay at Grande Real Villa Itália – Solo Traveler Approved! I had the most incredible stay at Grande Real Villa Itália while solo traveling in Cascais. From the moment I arrived, the service was beyond exceptional—every staff member was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, making me feel completely at ease. The view was absolutely unreal, a picture-perfect setting that I couldn’t get enough of. The location is also fantastic, close to some amazing attractions while still offering a peaceful and luxurious retreat. The room was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and so comfortable that it felt like a home away from home. As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated how warm and attentive the staff were, ensuring I had the best possible experience. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you’re visiting Cascais, this is the perfect place to stay.

This property is in a beautiful location, walking distance to all of the amenities and the beautiful ocean front. The decor and staff were exceptional in how we were treated throughout our Christmas Vacation! It definitely lives up to it's 5 star rating!

Positive - Staff extremely helpful and patient. Wonderful situation, well appointed rooms. Splendid breakfast buffet. Negative - Evening bar service oddly could not provide de-caffeinated coffee. Slope and cobbles to access entrance ie not ideal for disabled or elderly guests. Overall - loved it, would go back like a shot.

Warm welcome as always with great concierge and front desk experience The room was more worn than on previous visits and would bereft from fresh pair and wood polish on chairs etc. The service during lunch was slow and disappointing. At one point we tried to order coffee in Portuguese but the waitress did not understand so we swiped to English but when asked for a traditional Portuguese liquor she did not know what it was and got confused… so we had coffee and left. Breakfast was very good although could have been import the team had explained we could order certain hot food from the kitchen e.g. Eggs Benedict, omelette etc Overall we will return we it’s convenient for family visits and hopefully things will have improved in team training
