The Locke is a lovely place to stay. The neighbourhood is conveniently located a few steps away from Marques de Pombal Metro, allowing easy acess to all areas of Lisbon. The property itself is delightful and I opted for one of the more budget friendly rooms in building D, which although located in the basement it is bright and airy due to the large windows at street level...anyhow I wasn't about to spend much time in my room when there's an entire city to explore. That being said the Locke de Santa Joana drips history while at the same time featuring all the mod cons we humans expect. Also, don't forget to make a reservation at the restaurant in the courtyard of the former 17th century convent..the Santa Marta...outstanding food and outstanding people who work there.

Upon arrival to Portugal, I had a horrible experience with a fake Taxi driver. Once I checked into the hotel, Rafa was extremely thoughtful and compassionate. In general the staff in the hotel are extremely courteous, competent and helpful. I stayed in a well appointed studio room, that had everything you need to enjoy your vacation in Portugal. I loved the hotel!!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour de 15 jours au Locke de Santa Joana. L’appartement était agréable, très bien équipé (lave-vaisselle et lave-linge très appréciables), avec une décoration sublime et une vue magnifique depuis le 4ᵉ étage. La localisation est idéale pour explorer Lisbonne. Mention spéciale au brunch du dimanche au restaurant Santa Joana : un vrai régal ! L’équipe a été très réactive, notamment lorsqu’on a signalé un problème avec la porte de douche – une intervention a eu lieu rapidement. En revanche, des odeurs désagréables persistaient dans la salle de bain, probablement liées à un souci de ventilation ou de tuyauterie. Le ménage hebdomadaire est bien précisé lors de la réservation, donc pas de surprise, mais nous avons trouvé les frais pour un ménage supplémentaire assez élevés (40 €). Par ailleurs, certains aspects du service nous ont semblé un peu “comptés” : par exemple, seulement 1 ou 2 rouleaux de papier toilette donnés à la fois, malgré un long séjour, et aucun parapluie disponible lorsqu’il a plu. Dans l’ensemble, une belle adresse avec beaucoup de potentiel, mais quelques détails à améliorer pour rendre l’expérience vraiment fluide et confortable.

Lovely property, so quiet and beautifully appointed. Walkable to most attractions. Love pombal park near the hotel, had a glass of wine lounging alongside the reflectin pond. The hotel has great dinner choices too.

It was a very nice stay - we like the atmosphere - although, the lobby area is small but was cozy., and the walk to our building or room was not great due to the rain - but was fine. We were hoping to have a little fridge in our room - but was not equipped with one - otherwise, very nice place and will definitely recommend it and maybe stay there again. Thank you, great service.

The service and accomadation was excellent in every respect for our recent 11 night stay at Locke de Santa Joanna. The reception at front desk was always warm and friendly and helpful with anything we needed...especially with Carlota whose friendly smiling face greeting us most every day which made our stay most enjoyable and was always making sure everything was up to our expectations. I would highly recommend this beautiful pristine well kept and so professionally managed place to anyone looking for a superior place to stay in Lisbon .
