Super clean, staff is fantastic, close enough to uber around but far enough that you don’t hear all the down town noise. Wish we had a higher floor but nothing to lose sleep about. Gym was immaculate too!

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, both day and night shifts. The hotel provided a dog bed, bowl, and treats for my service dog. Just wow! Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond. Great shower and the bed was comfortable

A great boutique hotel in a historic district

Great hotel in a fantastic area of Lisbon. A short stroll down the hill and you will find yourself in a beatiful praca with the original bakery of the Pastel de nata. One of the best pieces of pastry youll ever have. Across the street are a row of resaurants and over the boulevard is a historic monastary. The staff at the hotel are amazing and provided support for us to get local recommendations and helped make a case to get the airline to refund us for delayed flights and missed nights at the hotel.

Quality property in a quiet neighborhood

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and thoughtful service that stays consistent throughout your stay. The staff go above and beyond in every interaction—always kind, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure you feel welcome and cared for. Every little detail feels curated with comfort and elegance in mind, from the decor to the amenities. The hotel itself is beautifully designed—charming, intimate, and refined, striking that perfect balance between modern luxury and cozy warmth. It’s the kind of place where you can really relax and enjoy some peace away from the noise of the city. That said, the one small downside is its location. It’s not right in the heart of downtown Lisbon, so if you’re hoping to walk out and be immediately surrounded by shops and major landmarks, this might feel a little tucked away. But if you’re okay with a quick ride into the city center, the tranquility and high level of service more than make up for it. Overall, this hotel offered one of the best stays I’ve had in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and well-run hotel with truly outstanding service, Wine & Books is a fantastic choice. I’d stay here again.

Had a wonderful break at Wine & Books. Everything was exactly as I’d hoped it would be from looking at the website. Staff were lovely - kind and attentive but not too in your face. Room was really comfortable. I’m a very light sleeper so the blackout curtains and super-quiet room were brilliant. Oh, and big shout out for the spa. Had a great massage from a lady who couldn’t speak any English (and my Portuguese is non-existent) but she didn’t need to. Perfect service. Thank you.

Lovely with luxurious feel. Very comfortable. Near to popular attractions. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, from front desk, dining, and housekeeping. Special mention to Adalberto, Luis and Rafa for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We also got to enjoy a great value & delicious set lunch - starter, choice of red/white wine, water, mains, dessert & coffee - all for 20€!!

Amazing 5 star treatment. Great staff, attentive, welcoming, helpful. Even staff in the restaurant are amazing and more than proper and accommodating. We felt sad leaving as we were treated so nicely from cleaners to management. Breakfast was amazing and personalized. Dinner was great as well.
