Our room was dirty, I spoke to the front desk manager on duty who said he would pass to ‘the manager’. We went out for dinner and came back - no response from ‘the manager’ and no offer of a solution by the person I spoke to so we went back to our dirty room. I spoke to ‘the manager’ this morning when we checked out and was told he’d speak to the owner and ask him to contact me, I’ve waited all day and not heard a thing - I’ve now been emailed from Expedia to write a review. Here’s what was wrong with the room:
Coffee stains on the phone next to the bed
Sweets under the bunk bed
No liquor soap in the bathroom - just the empty bottle which looked like it had been empty for a long time - it was also filthy as it was attached to the wall right by the sink.
Used soap in the shower
Used towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door - which I thought was strange when I got out the shower when we first arrived - to then see the fresh towels folded on our beds so it seems that the towels hanging on the back of the door were left from the previous guests and I had used it after my shower!
Dried blood on the back of the bathroom door which looked like it had been there for a while,
Holes in bathroom walls which hadn’t even been attempted to be fixed.
I wasn’t expecting The Ritz, but we’d booked this family room after a days walking at Aber Falls and for my husbands birthday. The state of the room was totally unacceptable and staff did nothing to help. I took pictures to document.
