Travelled with family
1 Sept 2025
Booked this hotel as had seen online that it had helpful staff and a nice hotel.
Unfortunately as soon as we walked in it smelt musty, I had booked the hotel in advance and explained there was certain things we would need as my dad is critically ill and permanently in a wheelchair, on arrival we found parking was not great and even though there is a carpark they will not allocate a space for disabled people...we had bags a wheelchair and commode.
On arrival unfortunately reception sent us to the wrong lift and ended up in an area with loads of stairs and had to come all the way down with my dad, wheelchair and bags, very stressful.
The internal doors are really hard to get through.
My mom and dad's room was fairly nice but ours was very dated with plaster even coming off the walls.
On Tuesday the rest of my family arrived and asked if was ok for us to grab a tea before leaving after their journey, the lady was certainly not happy and said, she was alone so we felt like an inconvenience.
We went elsewhere.
The only good thing I can say is breakfast was lovely and the gentleman looking after the dining room was absolutely lovely and really helpful.
This hotel needs a lot of work.
