This hotel was in a convenient location; close to buses, the Tube and good dining options. The staff was friendly; the wifi worked well; the beds were comfortable, coffee, tea & a kettle were provided in the room. The rooms were very small; with small bathrooms. Our bathroom had no ventilation/fan so there was mold in a couple of spots on the door frame. There was no air conditioning and our window faced close walls on all 3 sides, so there was no air movement at all and we were there when it was hot. All the hotels seem to use duvets only, which are just too hot without A/C; luckily we found duvet covers in the drawers under the bed and just used them. The hotel was also able to provide a fan, or we wouldn’t have gotten any sleep due to the heat.

Great hotel if you need a short stay for business. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable and ensuite is clean with hot & cold shower working perfectly.

So I want to be fair in this review. The location is awesome. It is one block from Paddington station and very quick to get to from the airport or to get anywhere in London. There are a ton of restaurants including every imaginable cuisine within several blocks. The hotel staff are very nice and have been very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The breakfast is good and I would recommend trying it at least one of the days. Now for the bad parts, you get what you get. The property description is accurate however on the higher floors it gets quite hot without air conditioning and on the lower floors it can get fairly loud when trains pass by. The water temperature is inconsistent at best and during several of the showers we never really got warm water. The rooms are small and the stairs, especially the upper floors are a bit challenging. There is no fridge or microwave in the rooms. Overall I would still say that it is worth what we paid and we'd consider staying there again.

I paid for what I needed - a place to stay for a few days. The room was very nice, convenient to transport, and the staff were very nice. However, the shower head looked like it hadn’t been replaced in 5 years and the noise and vibration from the Tube were annoying. It’s a great property for the value you pay.

Property says that you get a continental breakfast but you actually have to pay $7.50 per person for that breakfast and it’s only for one hour. It’s very hot. The pictures are of the courtyard across the street not of the actual property.

I knew there were no elevators but our room was on the 4th floor. Had to use steep small stairs with narrow hallway and had to go around a couple of corners and through a door. Then the room was stifling hot. We were able to get a second fan, but did not help much. Could really use a window mount A/C unit. We had 1 towel each, but had to take a couple showers each day because the heat. My wife asked for another towel for the next morning and the night front desk person made a big deal about giving her another towel. He eventually did though. My sister in law had a second floor room and her window was facing away from the son. She had a slight breeze and it wasn’t too bad in her room, but we were miserable. On a brighter note, the bathroom was nice.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. Other than that, we had a bad experience. Our room was on the top floor, with lots of stairs (76 steps to be precise) and, of course, no elevator—think about carrying your luggage up those narrow steps. The room was hot and humid, we couldn’t sleep (no AC). Staff was friendly; but for what we paid for I believe the hotel is not worth it. Unfortunately, we regretted every minute of our stay.

Completely misleading and extremely uncomfortable

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this hotel. The description online does not match reality. The room was extremely small — and the bathroom was even worse. The sink was ridiculously tiny and uncomfortable to use, and the shower was just as bad. It was so tight that we couldn’t even close the door while inside. Only a very slim person could fit; if you have any kind of belly, forget about closing the shower door. To make things worse, the shower and sink were both dirty. There is no elevator in the hotel, and we had to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs. The stairs on the last floor were dangerously narrow. The carpet in the room was dirty and smelled bad. There was barely enough space for one person to move around — it was impossible for two people to open their suitcases at the same time. It was extremely uncomfortable. The bed was pushed right up against the window, and since there was no air conditioning or even a fan, we had to sleep with the window open. I felt unsafe sleeping like that, afraid I might roll over and fall out the window during the night. Honestly, this was a terrible experience. The hotel needs to update its description and pictures to reflect the reality, because this was completely misleading. I do not recommend staying here.
