Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
We decided to rent this property for its location (close to London Fields Broadway Market) and because it was aesthetically pleasing. While the location was great, the apartment was terrible and run-down. From the outside, the bushes were so overgrown that my 3-year-old had to crouch down to enter the front gate. The photos in the listing boasted a beautiful backyard with a nice table, but the yard was completely covered in leaves, and the table was covered in bird poop; my friend spent 30 minutes cleaning it only to find that the wifi didn't work out there.Inside, the rug, sofa, and runner on the stairs were stained all over—grey splotches on what's supposed to be white/cream. The place has a "rustic-chic" vibe, but the hardwood floors were so "rustic" they were starting to splinter, and in one area, taped over with clear shipping tape. Safety was also a real concern. One of the spindles on the staircase railing had broken off and was just taped back on loosely. At one point it fell out again, leaving a large gaping opening near the top floor. One time the closet door on the basement level just FELL OFF and slammed on the ground, nearly hitting my child. The downstairs shower would stop completely after a few minutes, then slowly start up again with really low water pressure. When we complained the management company sent extremely lengthy instructions on how to reboot the water heater, not addressing the problem or sending someone.Do not stay here.
