Ridiculous access

We were placed in the annex on the first floor above the dining room. To access our room, we had to go up two flights, weave through a maze of hallways with poor signage, and back down a flight. Elevators were slow and there were too few. We could only exit our side of the building during breakfast hours. Our window view was a gravel rooftop in a light well. We felt like we were given a less desirable location because we booked through the app. The hotel is very sustainably conscious and I appreciated the carafe for water in the room. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We couldn’t figure out how to use the TV until the third day because the instructions were confusing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and plentiful.

During checkout they said they needed to charge a city tax of $224.37. While waiting for my Uber ride they said they made a mistake and told me they refunded the entire amount. However when I returned home, I discovered they only refunded me $222.60. I don’t believe these people are very honest and likely pull this scam with many customers.

Very poorly constructed an inconvenient hotel

We booked the trip through hotels.com. Took a room with a king bed and a sofa bed for 4 people. When we got there we were told this was a no-windows room because we booked through hotels.com. This was not obvious at the time of booking. Any changes were a very hefty fee, so we had to stay with the room. The room was in a tower that had no outside access so we had to go through 2 different elevators and many corridors so it was a 7 min trip each time we had to go out. It had a very poor set up with a pole in the middle of the room and a TV on it. My kids struck their head on the TV multiple times because it was such a small room and there was no way to get the TV out of our way. The closets had now drawers and the racks were so high they were unreachable so there was no where to put clothes for a family. Overall very poor and inconvenient hotel. I would not go back.

Best location! 5 stars! Great stay!

This was a perfect choice for location, value, cleanliness, and accommodations. We are Americans, so the standard was truly to its rating 4-5 stars. The breakfast buffet is a true buffet, full service - not continental - full breakfast. Excellent! Walkable to Buckingham and Victoria station and other sites, many restaurants, a grocery store for food items + alcohol/wine/champagne, the local pubs were fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by the city, yet you’re positioned in the neighborhood so that you’re away from the bustle but can easily access it by one block. Highly recommend! We will return to this lovey home away from home! Great choice for us! Thank you for the stay!

No proper main restaurant. Our room was NOT a room. No window and TV on a pole in the middle of the room. Should be a storage place. Staff nice but poorly trained. Like all London way over priced for what it is. Typical one visit tourist hotel. Won’t use again or recommend.
