Check in quick, room ready on arrival. Room clean and what was expected with amenities and TV. Breakfast good choices of everything you could think of. Drink in the bar over priced £25 for a Gin and lemonade and a cider.

So I’m a titanium Bonvoy member so I’m speaking with some knowledge of the brand. There is construction in the front of the hotel. That’s a problem especially with the light rail. Harbor view is best. Room: I was given the deluxe room at first just okay.. too small. So after 2 days we were moved from the construction side to an executive with Harbor view is best at this property. Anything short of that would not be good. If I would not have been moved, my star level for the stay would have dropped significantly especially because of my status. The staff, was very friendly and try their best to assist. Breakfast was amazing. Bar and lounge were great. Near everything in the canary wharf area. Train lines nearby. Plenty of places to eat, shop and enjoy a different part of London. A long way from Heathrow and Gatwick so prepare for that well in advance and allow plenty of time for traffic etc. leave early! All in all as long as you’re able to get an executive room or higher with a harbor view. This is a solid property.

Poor maintenance of the room and bathroom.

This Marriott hotel has poor maintenance. The rooms are old, as is the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush well. The towels were dirty and I had to call the reception asking to change them. For a Marriott hotel, it did not comply with the standards that you would expect for this type of hotel chain. I will never go back. I would not go back.

Strong words, but well-earned. The location of this hotel is great—no surprise there. But operationally, it needs serious improvement. I had two back-to-back reservations (June 10–12 and 12–14), which I flagged at check-in. I was told I could stay in the same room—great. But I was assigned an accessible room with a shower that had a permanent chair and no space to stand. Clearly, the bathroom could have been better designed, but attention to detail isn’t their strength. I asked for a room change—denied. Disappointing for a Platinum member who stays 50–70 nights a year at Marriott. Then I found a clogged toilet. I called housekeeping, was assured it would be fixed, went to dinner, and returned to find nothing done. I was told they came but didn’t enter because I wasn’t there—no one asked if they could enter in my absence. To add to the confusion, I got calls and a door knock on the 12th asking when I planned to check out—despite my continuing reservation. When I wanted to change rooms, they said no; now they wanted me to move? Meanwhile, I kept getting messages to get the toilet repaired—which had already happened. Is this hospitality, or a dark comedy?
