Very nice flat in lovely area

I have never stayed in a basement flat before - the light was good, but we kept the shades down most of the time, just because of the pedestrian traffic - having said that - the pedestrian traffic is not heavy - it was just different for us. The flat is spacious but needs a little work in the bathroom particularly, but not a big deal. The bedroom looks out onto the original stairs down to the flat, and that area had not been cleaned for a long time. These are minor issues, and overall, we loved the location, Marleybone is a great neighbourhood with coffee shops, good restaurants and nice shops - Daunts bookshop is a must. I can't walk too far, but it was very easy to get a cab just outside the main door of the property. Just one suggestion, the flat could benefit from a manual with respect particularly to the TV and heating. And some times a guest book is nice to pass along recommendations for dinner etc. We also found the host to be responsive and friendly which is always appreciated.

Great home base

We chose this apartment because of its location and were pleased with decision. We appreciated that they provided two strong fans to keep the air cool and circulated. Despite it being a basement/street-level apartment, it was pretty quiet and felt comfortable. Keys and locks were a little wonky, but once you got used to them, all was well. Nice spot for touring London.
