Mostly clean, did find a hair or two in the bedsheets and towels. Rooms were a little small but we were there for one night so suited us fine. Really comfy bed, shower was excellent and the rooms had good soundproof walls. Breakfast was average, not a massive option but tasty. We enjoyed our stay, staff was really lovely. Great location. Less than 10 minute walk to two underground station. Would highly recommend.

Passable by London's poor standards I suppose. Really tiny room, but it was very clean, including a fresh looking bathroom. Front desk staff very nice. Very loud A/C 'clean air' unit right outside the door that sounded like a vaccuum cleaner was permanently on. Shower head too high for such a small shower space and not mobile enough. Despite my efforts to 'save towels' from cleaning as requested, this was ignored by service staff who put new towels each day. Security door viewer/spyhole too high to be of any use.

Beautiful Victorian style building but with elevators! Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful with our luggages. Nice, quiet, upscale neighborhood yet convenient to tourist places-shopping, dining, transportation (Big Bus tour buses), Kensington Gardens, etc.Walkable distance to Paddington station & shops! Healthy breakfast menu is a plus!

Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were very pleasant, the cleanliness was fine, but I suppose it's a problem that the UK has with regard to accommodation space, the room was really small and the advert made it look much more comfortable than it was, as was the bathroom. But for one night it wasn't bad. All I can say about the breakfast is that what I saw at the buffet looked good, but in my case I chose not to have breakfast.

The room i booked was not what i expected. It was like a dungeon. No windows, very small, dirty and dark. It was at basement level too. I asked to be moved after several hours of feeling uncomfortable. The very lind staff gave me a much better, bigger room on the 2nd floor, with a balcony. This room was cleaner and nicer, it was like i was at a different hotel. Just beware of what room you choose when you book here.

We had a twin room with really comfy beds. The air conditioning worked really well and was quiet which often isn't the case. There were free bottles of water provided in the room and biscuits for our tea/coffee. The bathroom was clean and of good quality, nice hot water in the shower and good lighting. For the price we paid I wasn't expecting such quality so felt it was excellent value for money in this location. The only problem we had on arriving at our 4th floor room was that the key card didn't work so had to go back to reception, however they were apologetic and sorted it out for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was tiny but well organized and clean. The location was spectacular so really, I was only in my room to sleep! The breakfast that was provided was hearty and good. I would most definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to London.

Location v space

The hotel is in a great location near Notting Hill, trains, buses and good restaurants. However our double room was very crammed and tight to move around. The hotel team were understanding and offered a breakfast as compensation but the lack of space was uncomfortable.
