This hotel is of very poor quality with poor services. Needs to be torn down and rebuilt
Considering that this is a well known chain of hotels, i would consider this one to be average.
The reception staff need to listen to the customer and repeat back what they understand. As my account was a mix up with another room that i was also paying for so NO CHARGES should have gone on that room, and i asked to be able to charge to my room, which again was NOT initially set up.
The bedroom windows didnt open the "air con" just moved the air around well a desk fan could have done that.
The breakfast food was warm at best, the toast and coffee was the hottest items available.
The evening meals however where GREAT really nice and well worth the money.
Just all in all sadly average.
Not enough staff, staff having to run bar and reception so kept people waiting. Filthy all the way throughout the hotel. Strong smell of smoke and weed in the room and corridors. Bathroom was mouldy and smelly. Dust everywhere. One available socket for charging phone. Faulty thermostat, the room got too hot which made the smell worse. Extremely rude housekeeping staff that was speaking aggressively towards us but in another language waving and huffing at us.
Over the years i had the chance to use this hotel several times. From when it used to be Days inn. The standards have gone right down. The hotel room are run down and dirty, te carpets are filthy and full of marks and sticky. Poor amenities, no extra cushions, no milk, no plugs, faulty aur con, noisy but above all filthy. One of the reception staff was extremely condescending and presumptuous. Not a pleasant stay at all. Not going to use this place any longer.
This hotel was overall okay. The room we were in had seen better days -- Peeling laminate, scuffing on walls. However it was fairly clean. The shower had water pressure!
There were only two outlets in the entire room and one was dedicated to the fan.
The biggest issue we had was heat. The air con was out, and were were staying in a heat wave. The room's window only opened a tiny sliver due to a cable lock, so we could not get relief even at night. The fan's cord was not long enough to reach to the window to attempt to suck in some cooler air.
The hotel was not that close to any transit. The closest bus stops were 3/4 of a mile away. Granted, it was a very pleasant walk through a park. Also, uber and food delivery were sometimes very confused how to get to the hotel. It was in a motorist service area off the M1, but there was a service entrance in a sketch alley in the back. Some folks knew about it, others did not. Made for some amount of confusion. Not a lot of dining nearby either.
This hotel would have been much better if we had access to a vehicle. And functioning air con, or at least a window that would open more than a sliver.
Very unhygienic room. Faulty shower. Things were sorted but but after 2 nights and several complaints. No refund was given for this poor experience. Hotels.com isnt very supportive.

Air Con & Shower Issues
The air con didn’t work so the room was sweltering hot.
Poor check in as I was firstly given a room that was stinking of stale cigarette smoke. I requested another room and was given a different room, with no apology regarding the first room.
The 2nd room was very warm with broken air conditioning.
The thermostat was reading 33.8 degrees !!!!
Light were broken in the room and the shower was just a dribble.
I asked for my room to be serviced…this did not happen either.
This is quite possibly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
I will never ever return.
