We loved the hotel but unfortunately my daughter and I became stuck in the spa lift, the doors wouldn't open. My daughter became very distressed and as a result she wouldn't use the lifts again.

All in all the stay was acceptable, the personnel was professional and kind, the spa area was a bit disappointing, the breakfast room was rather impersonal and quality pretty average. The room we were assigned was clean enough but obsolete and a few things required repairs. The worse thing was the terrible smell of weed coming from one of the rooms next to ours that was literally making the air in our room un- breathable, luckily enough we had a balcony that we kept wide open whenever in the room.

A fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic 1 night stay, we was really lucky with the weather so got to enjoy the balcony on our room. Was lucky to get a refurbished room, decor is fresh and nautical. The breakfast was delicious! If i could pass on a couple of improvements to hotel it would be larger size dressing gowns, they would fit size 8 perfect which most people are not, maybe it was just our room! To have a bottle opener in the room too would have been useful. These did not take away from our stay, it was brilliant and loved our anniversary cake and card, it was a lovely touch!

Large comfortable rooms in quiet harbour area. A bit dated for a 5 star hotel and upgraded room with balcony has terrible view of an inside courtyard and should not be considered an upgrade. A bit difficult to get an over there but otherwise a decent value.

Shower stopped working three times, hotel is very aged and isn’t but a 2.5-3 star property. Breakfast service is slow. If you want more coffee/tea you often have to proactively find someone. The spa is a joke. The lift is broken getting to it. Now you have to go to another floor in the opposite side of the building, walk all the way back and then down a dark hallway. While we were in the pool they hosted swimming lessons which we thought was strange for a hotel pool. Great quiet location but overall would never stay again.

Nice hotel but poor manager attitude

Overall, the hotel is in a great location and offers good facilities, including a pleasant breakfast and excellent pool and spa amenities. However, our experience was let down by the poor service we received from the manager. We had booked a room for three people but were initially expected to share one double bed. When we requested an additional bed, we were told it would cost £48.00, which we felt was unreasonable. After a prolonged discussion of 10–15 minutes, the manager reluctantly agreed to provide the extra bed at no charge. Unfortunately, this interaction significantly impacted our stay. Additionally, the cost of parking in the local area was extremely high.
