No decaf tea despite staff saying there was. Excellent service from staff member though who provided a pot of decaf tea (allergy not fad) Floors creaky and toilet bowl felt insecure on floor? Noisy from outside pumping or fan? But LOVELY hotel and will stay again.

Our stay at the Gore was so disappointing. This was my second visit and while the property is extremely charming and the location was super, the stay was a true disappointment due to the complete indifference (bordering on rude) of the staff at reception and the evening bar team. The exception was the lovely woman server in the bar in the afternoon - perhaps she showed up at the wrong hotel because she was what one would expect. The more serious issue was the night/early am reception clerk who tried to convince us to take a taxi or uber to LGW instead of a taxi to Victoria for Gatwick Express. He said it would be 120 GBP, less than our taxi and Gatwick Express. We declined and our total cost was 40 GBP for two. We were lucky we travel frequently, but others would have been swindled. What a dreadful man and sad that the other employees are so disengaged.
