You cannot ask for a better location than this hotel. Only 2 minutes from Gloucester station and very close by to many restaurants and cafes. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The reason why I deducted one star is I don't like the layout of the room. It is probably a historic building so I guess the design options could be limited. There is a hallway and kitchenet, with full size refrigerator, oven cook stove and dish washer. If these are what you are looking for, that is fine. But for most tourists who are not cooking, this is a waste of space. The ammenities are also somewhat less than expected. There were no slippers for guests. The Shampoo and soap are placed outside of the shower since there are no racks in the shower to hold them. I ended up placing them on the shower floor. How inconvenient.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location.

This hotel was absolutely worth that extra cost. You get so much for your money. Our room had small kitchen and medium refrigerator with all the cooking supplies. The room was clean and comfortable. Every person there was more than happy to advise you on places to go; if you needed help, they gave it to you; they have a pool and a delicious restaurant on site (tomato soup and the cheese sandwich was so good!); and very well maintained. Most importantly, safe. They are close to shopping and restaurants. Loved this hotel. The hallway carpet is a little mind bending, but it is interesting. Take a photo with the two brass dogs standing guard at the front doors.

Very tiny bathroom's and poorly designed, the loo is right next to the shower and almost no space to open yhe shower door, worse its glass so any attempt to squeeze yourself in the glass door hits the loo! Its an expensive hotel to stay for a night, more space is needed espresso in the toilet I used the downstream vault, very small and cold! Not sure I'll again!
