Thistle London Park Lane provided good convenience to Hyde Park and the subway (Underground) and buses for our week long visit. The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate a full house. It was a very warm week in July and the room AC struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature. A fan was provided and was helpful. Our king bed mattress was not comfortable due to the troughs worn into the sleeping positions. Only one elevator worked during our entire stay. We appreciated the complementary breakfast vouchers given out for not using the housekeeping service during our stay.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating they held our bags in the front when we got there early as well as after we checked out so we could explore the city. The property is clean, has great Air Conditioning and is centrally located. It is just a 5 minute walk to public transportation, buses and the tube, which we took everywhere. They also have umbrellas available for rent if it happens to be a rainy day which was extremely convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Very basic hotel and not worth the price I paid. Lack of tissues in the room, no staff in the evening, lift service was terrible, not sure how they can class this as a 4* hotel when it's barely a 3*. Door to bedroom was incredibly heavy to open and those who are infirm would struggle. Bed wasn't comfortable. Not worth the £235 I paid for one night.
Everything was fine (friendly staff, clean, perfect location) but this is certainly not a 4-star hotel. My room was in the dark basement with small window facing an alley which I wasn’t expecting so was disappointed.

No working air conditioning on the hottest day!
We had a room assigned when we arrived earlier than the check in time, unfortunately the room has no air conditioning (which I assumed the hotel knew as there was a table fan). It was the hottest day so far of 33 degrees and on the top floor of the building. After 15 minutes in the room we knew this is going to be a terrible night without the air conditioning working so we went downstairs to check with reception. They said they will send maintenance so we decided to head out and come back later for when maintenance has checked and resolve the issue.
Around an hour later we got back and the maintenance team has not attended the room so we called reception again. One of the reception staff came up to our room and apologise and said that the air cond does not work and they can offer another fan if required. He also mentioned to go down in half an hour if we decided it’s too hot so he can see what he can do. At this point, he also mentioned that they are fully booked and no other room he could swap for us.
We took our suitcases down as it was way too hot to even stay in the room and decided we might go to a different hotel.
Shortly after we mentioned and spoke to the reception, They managed to find another room (even after telling us the hotel was full).
We had a new room, but the air cond also failed to work in the middle of the night so we had to sleep with the windows open.
Great location. A few mins walking distance from Tube station(Marble Arch) and Hyde Park. Lots of Cafe's and Restaurants in the vicinity. Hotel is in a good condition. The rooms were spacious snd comfortable. Staff were courteous and polite. Amenities in the room were good. The only bit that was a bit confusing was the lift as some of the rooms are below the ground floor and only a particular lift would go to our floor. But worth the stay and overall we enjoyed it
I stayed at the thistle for a few days during a trip in June. The hotel is centrally located, with a grocery and coffee shops nearby; just a couple of minutes walk from the main area, where the tube is easily accessible and surrounded by numerous dining options, oxford street and hyde park.
My room was a great for a solo traveler and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The bathroom was clean and had hot water running at all times. The only downside is, you will have to bring your own toiletries as there is none available in the room.
The staff (Rahul and Ali) were attentive and courteous. Check-in was smooth, and they provided helpful recommendations and directions when needed. They were understanding and helped with storing luggage during check ins and out!
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
