We had a great time staying at the place. There is a brewery serving nice brews and food attached to it. Staff were warm and welcoming and Alejandro was available if any issues. Veronica and Victoria the ladies who did the breakfast and made the rooms were warm, friendly and left personal touches to the room which was touching. We had a great time there and will thoroughly recommend the place

The hotel was beautiful and location excellent. Several comfortable rooms set around a peaceful, private courtyard just off the city square. The staff were wonderful and welcoming. Alejandro was attentive to guests’ needs and Veronica and her team kept both the hotel rooms and grounds looking immaculate. Veronica also oversaw the breakfast included with the booking. There was a nice spread and then she would make eggs or an omelette to order. Thank you for all your hard work and a great stay!

This place is charming and in the perfect location right in the heart of old Loreto adjacent to almost everything. 2 blocks to the water. Think there are only about 8 rooms in the entire place so it's no overcrowded at all. Breakfast is included and has eggs to order, fresh fruit cups, bananas, yogurt and toppings, refried beans, toast, juices and coffee. Will definitely stay here again if we return and recommend it to anyone headed to Loreto.

Excellent communication from owner/operator and superb staff interactions. Awesome location tucked away off the corner of the town square and primary tourist pedestrian walkway. Very clean, well-maintained and organized! Good WiFi connection and breakfast service, great fit for an active traveler. Only downside from my perspective was lack of a desk in the room and limited hot water (about 2-3 minutes worth).

Hotel 1697 is truly a hidden gem located right off the main plaza. This was our 4th time staying here after trying a few others in the area. The rooms are always very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are helpful , the breakfast is delicious, served poolside. What a great way to start your day!
