Great location!!! Close to Beverly Hills, close to major museums, close to great & diverse restaurants. Check-in was awkward. Clerk announced - 45 min after check-in time the room was not ready. Not what you want to hear. Then he said it was probably ready and would I mind going to the room to check which I did - a first for me. The room was ready and it was a nice room with an extremely comfortable bed, plenty of towels - a big plus - and really nice bodycare products. I felt well taken care of by this property!

Comfortable bed. Clever decor. Quiet surroundings. However, Wi-Fi slow as molasses. Bathrooms and carpet older/dated. Room smelled damp and musty, got marginally better with the AC fan turned on.

Only the location was good. Room very small, very noise A/C and the next door bath. Total outdated. Do small room you do not even have space to open a luggage. Both beds stuck on the wall, very not confortable situation. Did not feel secure, due to the front door close to the elevator with no security. Anyone could jump on the elevator and move around the hallways. No breakfast. This hotel has nothing good except the location.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was room was clean, bed was comfortable and the room met all my requirements. There were a few details that could have been improved upon but overall it was a convenient, affordable and nice place to stay. I would stay there again. List of items for improvement: coffee machine in my room was not working but I was able to fix it; rug needed a deep cleaning; decor is a little strange but was not a deal breaker; the main elevator was dirty, had an odor, stains on the floor and ripped wall fabric (you can do better, Carlyle); overall the front entry way had a run down look (just needs deep cleaning and fresh paint). The online photos show a much newer and well cared for appearance of the facility. Perhaps it would benefit from a rethinking of the decor.

The pictures shown online are very misleading. This property looks and feels more like an motel than a hotel or Inn. The rooms and grounds are a bit run-down, with visible wear and neglect. In reality, it is closer to a three-star property, if not lower. The surrounding area also did not feel particularly safe, which made the stay even less comfortable.
