The bedding was filthy with fresh stains and hairs from the prior guests. I immediately left and stayed elsewhere. Received a refund but worry about others who might contract a disease. Aside issue, this inn is on a busy road which is very noisy. Hope this helps fellow travelers.

Road trippin

You can’t beat this place for the price and location. A short walk to Venice Beach and tons a restaurants within walking distance. There is also a little beach directly in front of the hotel. I got a room with a patio right on the beach. At night it was beautiful with the lights reflecting off the water. It’s an older hotel but well taken care of and comfy. This will be my go to place when I’m in the area.

Nice location right on waterfront of lagoon. Free parking is huge benefit. Really enjoyed our stay here as its safe, quiet, clean and you feel like you're on vacation in hawaii! Staff is very helpful and responsive. Watching many people play volleyball right in front of beach is great. The walk on the beach front is impressive. There is a fantastic farmer’s market on Saturday's right next door. Also a convenient Cheesecake Factory restaurant as well.

It was fine

The Foghorn Inn was fine. It has a nice view of the marina, but it's not a place I would want to stay and hang out. It was good for what we needed, which was a place to sleep. Fairly clean, though sheets had holes in them. They gave me more/clean towels when I asked but the room only started with two sets of towels for our family of 4. The walls/doors are thin and we could hear everything in the lobby. Breakfast was a few trays of granola bar type snacks.

Your place at Marina del Rey

It’s the second time we stayed at the Foghorn Inn and I recommend it. Staff is very friendly and the location is wonderful. Happy place for couple or family. Pet very friendly.
