I reserved this room specifically to have access to a restroom as the one in my home is currently being renovated. I checked in at almost 10 pm. At midnight when I finally went to use the restroom, I realized it doesn’t flush. I contacted the front desk who stated the issue will not be resolved until the following morning as there is nobody onsite to assist. That is not helpful as I am only staying for the night and check out is at 11:00 a.m. i requested to be moved to another room. The front desk informed me that they are sold out for the night. It is irresponsible for this organization to have a sold out hotel room without any facilities staff available to address any issues. This room cost me $284 dollars for one night and I can’t even use the restroom here. I am requesting a full refund for this inconvenience. Had I known this would occur, I would’ve saved myself the trouble and stayed home.
EDIT: I spoke with the manager this morning and he informed me that due to me having booked through a third party organization (Expedia) there is nothing he can do.
I reached out to Expedia and they placed me on hold for 8 minutes and stated they could not contact anybody at Hampton to discuss my refund request.
Putting the legwork on the client is beyond me. Hampton could’ve gotten ahead of this by contacting Expedia themselves. Now I am left waiting, in limbo AND footing the bill.
2nd Edit: Not only was I charged for night through Expedia, Hampton had charged me as well.
