Good hotel worthy of the Marriot name

Overall, we were very comfortable and the hotel was great. They accommodated my dog w/no issues. Some of the cleaning folks are better than others relative to attention to detail and consistency. The basics were handled, but we didn't always get coffee & supplies refilled and they didn't always make sure we had hand soap.

Standard for Hotel Gone Down?

The gal who checked me in was great. However, I go to the hotel room and it’s a mess— never cleaned. Weird plastic bag on the bed, used towels in the bathroom, beds are a mess. Trash left. I call to tell them. They move me to another room, but it’s a king. I placed my reservation for two queen beds. I called again. I was informed there was otherwise another room available that had two full beds with a kind of working air conditioner. “I could see if we could bring up a fan for you if you’d like?” I offered the option of, if possible, having the room I was originally assigned cleaned? It was a great idea and it took about 40-60 minutes. Then a loud knock on the door as I sat waiting, and a guy gives me hotel keys to the previously assigned room. Not sure why he had to knock so loudly at 11:15 PM? (I checked in around 9ish PM). The room was very nicely cleaned. But I noticed dried dripping rust from one of the sheets of wallpaper, bubbling wallpaper, immense dust clumps in the vents, and the door wasn’t completely protected below— a nice gap to the outside. What? Also, the room they were to have me in (the king bed) before had a stick floor with large boot prints, and the toilet seat was sticky with spots all over. May I suggest perhaps doing a thorough cleaning of the air ducts to avoid a potential lawsuit for black and white mold toxicity exposure?

The main thing I was disappointed in what that the bathtub was old & had been repainted and was peeling. I was really looking forward to a bath, being a working mom and finally having a free night to relax. Bummer. But everything else was fine.

Room renovations where ok. The TV was wonky. The carpet is too old. The food was excellent but I believe you can get breakfast if you book in any room. Bathroom was nice. The shuttle was excellent.

I stayed here for a week, two years in a row, and both visits were only ok. The hotel lobby and restaurants were pleasant and the staff were always friendly and welcoming, both times. I booked two rooms for my family and me. During my first visit, the room attendant kept taking the used towels without replacing them. Well, they did, one time, leave the hot water faucet running and a cleaning bottle on the nightstand, but they never replaced the towels, hand soap, bath gel, or toilet paper. Maybe it was a new hire. On this second visit, one of the rooms I booked had a bathroom odor. The staff apologized and switched it out without any issues. However, the next evening, the entire tower had that same sewer-like odor that permeated on each floor and seeped into the rooms. The maintenance team addressed the problem and they managed to reduce the smell to where it was only faintly noticeable. The rooms themselves were ok. Although, they could use more dusting. My bedside stand was a little dusty. Over the weekend, one of the elevators malfunctioned, leaving only one working elevator. I don’t blame the hotel for this issue. Since having only one working elevator, some guests decided to take the stairs. However, when they got to the bottom, they discovered the exit door was locked, which is a safety violation. I don’t think the hotel is a disaster. The front desk, restaurant staff, and bartenders, were great. Nothing is perfect. Those are just some things that happened.

Would book again.

Booked because we were attending a convention at their adjoining convention center. We were quite pleased with our experience. Very clean, classy, and great customer sercice. Every employee we encountered was awesome. Plenty of parking and many dining options nearby as well as two restaurants on site. What was inconvenient was that one of only two elevators was out of order, ice machines on multiple floors were out of order. One of the entrances screeched loudly when the doors opened and closed. This was fixed on the last day of our stay. There was a premium to pay choosing this hotel over others in the area, so that raises my expectations. Also given the elevator situation, it was inconvenient that there was no way to use the stairs from the ground level without encountering an "alarm will sound" sign. In spite of all of this, we had a great experience overall. Would book again.
