While the property itself is beautiful, the overall experience did not feel consistently luxury, especially for the price point. True luxury is about anticipation and execution, and that is where this stay fell short. There were repeated service lapses throughout our visit. Drinks arrived incomplete, an appetizer was forgotten, and our dinner reservations were mishandled twice. Housekeeping was missed one day, and we had to call maintenance to fix the lights in our room. At the pool, service felt limited once settled in, including no proactive towel refreshes or basic upkeep at loungers. These details may seem small individually, but together they detract from a seamless experience. Although the resort markets itself as family friendly, pool food does not begin until 11 a.m. and drinks until 10 a.m., which does not work well for families with young children who are at the pool early. We were also surprised by a $3,500 incidental hold. A charge appeared on our folio that was not ours, and staff seemed unclear on the difference between a refund and a reversed credit card charge. Late checkout was initially denied, then granted after the resort acknowledged an error. Most staff were kind and well intentioned, but service consistency was lacking. This was especially noticeable compared with Susurros del Corazón, Auberge.

The most amazing thing about this property is the staff. They take hospitality to an entirely different level. I celebrated my birthday here Solo and it was not missed at any point during the vacation and was recognized when I checked in at the bar when I ordered drinks and even my last breakfast at Comal.

High end but no energy or romance

So resort was dead, no life, no fun. Pool was beyond hot. Only 3 restaurants. Prices ridiculous for food. A bowl of oatmeal with tax and service charge which is always included would cost over $30. All the food was bland with very little taste. Couldn’t even get snacks as no real lobby gift shop for snacks. Staff was amazing service was top notch. Feel of resort is one of isolation and loneliness. Property is very well maintained. Oceanfront room was gorgeous inside and patio very nice. For the price pool should have chillers for August and September.

We had a fabulous time at this property over the weekend. They truly made it such a special birthday weekend for my partner. The service was phenomenal, shout out to Pablo and Comal, Tathiana and her team at the pool, Maria at YAYA and special thanks to our amazing concierge Mau. We are vegan and they were able to modify many options for us at every restaurant. Through the weekend, they sent little birthday treats for my partner to keep the celebration going through the visit. The room was lovely and spacious. The outdoor shower attached to the room was truly lovely to use. We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we set foot on the sun-kissed grounds of Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, we knew we arrived somewhere exceptional. The interiors were chic, airy, and infused with natural textures—think driftwood tones, stone, and linen. Best place we have ever stayed in Cabo! It is incredibly upscale without being snobby. The grounds and rooms and amenities are incredible. Sometimes I feel like I book an expensive vacation and we get there and we're all underwhelmed by how shabby it feels but Chileno Bay delighted at every turn. Staff was fantastic too. Special call out for our concierge Mauricio who thought of every detail and was so responsive and helpful, Andres our poolside server who was attentive, funny and sweet to our kids and finally Elizabeth at Comal who was so sweet to my baby.

The staff was amazing and the property was gorgeous. Loved the aquatic center. The management staff was extremely accommodating. I do have a complaint with Expedia that the oceanfront room we received was not the one we paid for or in the photographs.
