The place and our unit was rundown and needed repairs. The toilet was ineffective and inefficient when it came to flushing. I had prepaid in full our stay at Sapphire Beach but when it came to checking out, I was told that I owed an amount of over $900.00 USD for my stay. I had shown evidence of my prepaying in full with my credit card. This annoyed me as I was challenged by the staff member dealing with me.

The location was good easy to walk to restaurants and Mullet beach providing you don't have any issues walking up hills. It took 15 minutes from the time we left our room to get to Mullet beach. Grocery stores 6-11 minutes by foot.Room is tired if you have stayed in Cuba its similar. The rooms are a fair size as well as the balcony. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View suite. I got a great price and would stay there again depending on price. A relative stayed at the same time as us paid about 1200 US more for the same room- in that case it was not worth it. The building felt safe. the pool was warm but boards around the pool needs work. No real nightlife at this location. We never used the air conditioner as the room smelled when we had it going- however this was not the case with My Aunts room so its hit or miss. It was fine as we opened the doors to the balcony until we went to bed. Sprayed the balcony with bug spray to keep the bugs down. Our dishwasher never worked but we lacked many essential dishes etc to cook so ended up eating out most days. So for a few cups glasses we never needed it. Price would determine if we would stay there again. Probably a 2.5 star. My 26 year son was thinking of visiting , he never did but would of been bored here.Great for relaxing trip, with low expectations of accommodations. Proximity by foot to Mullet beach would be why I would return if the price was right.

It's nice that there was a pool right there on site. Enjoyed the nightly happy hours and different activities that were provided. The place was close to many different restaurant choices and if youre up to walked about 1 mile, more restaurants and beaches!

Upon arriving I had to wash all the knobs and handles as they were not very clean. There were bugs on the counter. After many cleaning the bugs were almost gone. Shower knob was just hanging by a thread and they had no replacement for it. The staff and service were excellent. My coffee maker broke and was replaced immediately. Check in and check out went quite smoothly.

Location was on the water. No beach to lay out on however. The interiors were very dirty and not kept up by maintenance. The first time we stayed there a few years ago, there were actually mice running around the kitchen at night.We reported to the front desk and they didn't do anything. I have multiple pictures, and I will share them on line. We paid for a ocean view and received a very limited partial ocean view blocked by the restaurant and bar, when we requested to be move to a unit with a better view, they stated they were completely full, however, at night there were many rooms that had no lights on. The room phone did not work.The lock on the slider did not work, so they had to rig it. The bed mattress there very old and uncomfortable, The bathroom toilet ran the entire time. There really is no maintenance people to take care of this place. Overall it's very run down. If you're just looking for a cheap place and don't care at all about the condition, then it might be okay with you.Don't mind an unkept dated room.That's not very clean. We will not give it another chance to improve and we will stay somewhere else next time.

Close to airport restaurants, beach and reaturants . I didn't like that there was no shower curtain around the tub. The floor gets wet every time I shower. That doesnt make sense. I'm not sure what the debeloper was thinking...

This property was once a luxury time share, I heard, and one can still see that: the size of the rooms (I had a 1 bedroom apartment, with balconies on the two sides (street and pool) of the building, the marble tiles in the bathroom, full size kitchen, etc, They still have 5 o'clock activities, as cheese tasting, karaoke, live music. The restaurant is good and not expensive. Happy hour two times/day. The staff was efficient, very polite, and in my case, went beyond their duty when I needed them. The pool, very clean, is a gathering and make friends place. There is a bus from Philipsburg, but a car is a must if you want to explore. I like Marigot (15 minute by car) more than Philipsburg, Grand Case (beach, restaurants) is about 30 minutes by car. On my last day, I discovered the beach at the Friar's bay; small, golden sand, sheltered from wind and rough seas. The beach is serviced by 3 bars/restaurants, and renting the beach chairs is the cheapest in St. Martin. Do not go to St. Barth, there is nothing to see. Half of the people on the ferry were sea-sick. Anguilla is worth seeing, beautiful beaches. You can go by ferry, but if you only want to see some beaches, better take a catamaran tour. The ferry comes very expensive, there are many landing/leaving taxes (Anguilla is another country)

Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are huge, clean, and staff is really nice. We had a car rental and always parked in underground lot. Grocery stores are both walkable and also a couple of redtos. Maho offers more options and its about a nice 30 min walk through golf course or a quick drive with lots of parking.
