Last review was from 2020. Unfortunately time has not helped. In May 2024 we encountered serious mold smell as we entered the apartment building, extending to the apartment. We had a serious allergic reaction to the mold and could not stay in the apartment. We left without unpacking and booked another hotel elsewhere. Neither the Owner nor Expedia through which we booked would refund the rental cost even though the apartment was uninhabitable to us.

The property was well located in the old town and had restaurants and shops within a very short walk for a nice traditional German meal or a number of other cuisines as well. The apartment was very clean and exactly what we needed in a nice sized bedroom with a comfortable bed, a kitchenette with all you would need stocked in it including coffee, tea and sugar. There is a full sized fridge, cutlery, coffee cups, pots and pans, a bathroom with nice sized shower in it (which provided a nice shower) and a good sized lounge/living area. Everything was clean and worked fine. Wifi also worked very well which was important with a nearly 5 yr old. Our host was really great, speaks great English and always making sure we were ok without being interfering. This was absolutely great for our visit. There is even a chaise longue in the living room which is perfect for a child sleeping on. A duvet and pillow are in hideaway storage within the chaise. My daughter loved it. Also, the best tasting water from a tap I think I have ever had!

Am Abend des 29.8. fragte ich im Hotel Bergström - Dormero-Partnerhotel vom Alten Kaufhaus für ein Zimmer für 2 Nächte. An der Rezeption konnte ich nur die erste Nacht buchen, ich sollte morgens noch einmal fragen, ob auch am 30.8. ein Zimmer frei wäre. Am Morgen erhielt ich die Auskunft, dass kein Zimmer in keinem der Häuser frei sei. Zwischen den Veranstaltungen der Konferenz an der Leuphana konnte ich noch ein Zimmer buchen, jedoch ist es durch technische Probleme zu einer Doppelbuchung gekommen, sodass ich in 2 Häusern ein Zimmer hatte am 30.8. hatte: Im Bergström UND im Alten Kaufhaus. Zufällig waren beiden Hotelmanager vor Ort, die mir und gegenseitig bestätigten, die Buchung zu stornieren (es wurde miteinander detailliert besprochen: Bei einer No Show müsste man so und so ausbuchen). Dies ist nicht erfolgt, ich musste also 3 Nächte für 2 Tage bezahlen. Telefonisch war niemand erreichbar. Die mündliche Zusage wurde verleugnet! Unglaubliche Abzocke. und sehr enttäuschend.

ACHTUNG! NICHT BUCHEN! Es handelt sich um BETRUG! Die einzelnen Wohnungen sehen nicht aus wie auf den Bildern! Es sind Mini-Kleine Zimmer. Zu wenig Stühle, das Bett direkt am Eingang, Wohnung 5 hat KEIN EINZELBETT für Kinder. Lasst euch Zahlungen unbedingt quittieren und zögert nicht zu klagen! Das tun wir jetzt auch!

Das Zimmer entsprach leider nicht der Angabe bei Buchung auf Expedia. Wenn man aktuell nach unserer gewählten Wohnung saut, entspricht sie wieder der Wohnung, die wir hatten. Somit scheint sich das Angebot immer mal zu ändern. Auch war man nicht vorbereitet auf unsere Besucherzahl, es wurde aber entsprechend Bettzeug nachgeliefert.

Tolle Lage, schönes App., nette Gastgeber

Wir (Familie) hatten 4 wunderschöne Tage in Lüneburg. Die Lage des Appartements war optimal. Man musste nur ca. 6 min gehen und befand sich mitten in der Stadt mit ihren urigen Restaurants und schönen Geschäften. Unser Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend, sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Die Wohnung war liebevoll dekoriert und sehr sauber. Bettwäsche und Handtücher entsprachen einem 4 Sterne Hotel. Es gab neben einem Fön, Haarshampoo, Bodywash und sogar eingepackte Zahnbürsten. Die Küche war mehr als ausreichend eingerichtet. Die Balken im Wohnzimmer entsprachen dem Charme des Fachwerkhauses. Auch durfte ich noch eine 2 Zimmer- Wohnung besichtigen und auch hier kann ich nur meinen positiven Eindruck bestätigen. Wenn es etwas Negatives zu berichten gibt, wäre es nur, dass, bedingt durch die Stadtnähe + WE man abends bis ca. 23.30 heimkehrenden Menschen und Autos hören kann. Da es an diesem WE auch sehr heiss war, zogen wir es vor mit offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Von daher würde ich sehr Geräusche empfindlichen Menschen das Fachwerkhaus nicht empfehlen. Für uns, war es kein negativer Aspekt, da wir die Nähe zur Stadt ohne Parkplatzsorgen ( wir mieteten den Parkplatz vor dem Haus ) und das Ambiente des App. Nr. 5 vorzogen. Fussläufig gibt es noch 2 andere Parkmöglichkeiten. Wir hatten einen Rollstuhl mit, den wir in einem abschließbaren Raum parken durften. WLAN war immer vorhanden und wir können das Fachwerkhaus nur weiterempfehlen.
