Fantastic staff! New rooms and nice atmosphere

Needed a hotel for a quick stay. Thought it was just another low-price no-service and no-soul hotel. But we were wrong… The room was brand new without anything extraordinary, but worked perfectly and with very good bed. Tiffan in the reception was awesome and super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. She recommended a few places to eat. Breakfast was great - and the hotel owner / manager was circulating around the guests asking if we were satisfied - that is very rare but highly appreciated.

Rundown hotel - no soap

Room does not look like the pictures at all- very rundown hotel, dirty walls and no hand soap! When asked the reception advised we can use the soap in the shower - omitting to admit that it was not accessible unless you are in the bath ! Never seen before. Bathroom also tiny and almost no room to use the toilet. Really not worth the price.

Bad experience - no hand soap

The staff was very friendly, but this hotel is in a very poor state. The bed, wifi and airconditioning are ok. The bathroom is horrible, water is leaking everywhere which caused damage to the wooden parts and makes it look awful. Floor covered in water, floor mat fully wet with toen wooden parts coming off on it. Toilet roll holder is broken. Tv is not working correctly, disturbed signal. Parking is available, small places and no fence. Gym is closed. No breakfast possibility on monday. Tv could not be repaired during our 2 night stay. We were told 30 bathrooms needed renovation. Staff apologised. Hotel gave un unsafe feeling because it felt abandoned on sunday. If i would have been travelling alone, i would have left. Will never return to any Aka hotel.

Wouldn’t stay again, made reservation year in advance, told them a few weeks in advance that I’d be showing up a day later than I booked for, it was nonrefundable and I told them that was fine, told them many times I’d arrive Sunday and not Saturday, but this is not unusual as some people book the night before to have their room ready for whenever they show up, on the Sunday they message me saying I need to call to give my credit card (told them already I’m from out of country and can’t call) for late check In (told them multiple times I’d be there before 8pm) then said they technically could take my room away as I didn’t show up the Saturday ( even though I told them multiple times id b showing up Sunday and they said it was fine) super stressful and frustrating to be dealing with on a travel day. Only good thing was walking distance from the stadium, other than that I’d never stay again, we then had some lady yelling at us and on the phone we were trying to check out, not sure if she works there or what but she was yelling at us in French and asking what we were doing there when we were simply standing in the lobby with our luggage waiting for our Uber.
