When we booked this hotel there were limited reviews, so we were a bit nervous. We picked the hotel largely because of the location and price. Because of the limited reviews, we were a bit skeptical. But OMG.. We were blown away. Our room on the 6th floor had a terrace with a retractable awning overlooking the beautiful city. And a ceiling fan in the room for the hot summer days. Breakfast was perfect, service was amazing and the location couldn't have been better. I'm not sure why this hotel ever received a bad rap. It was the best out of all the hotels we stayed during our 16 day Euro trip. We'll definitely stay there again and recommend it for couples traveling through Madrid.

Property was in a great area with pedestrian zone. Short walk to Plaza Mayor with a variety of restaurants. Easy walk to numerous other sights! Breakfast was very good with a large variety.

I highly recommend staying at Hotel Francisco when visiting Madrid. A great overall experience. The team was very efficient, friendly, and hospitable. A wonderful boutique hotel, and the location is walking distance to most major sites.

It’s a nice little hotel between Plaza Sol, Opera, and Plaza Mayor. Very good location. There is neither a pool nor even a small gym which was a disappointment to my son. The room was good except for the weird glass bathroom door. It’s frosted in the middle but who wants to see the legs of someone sitting on the toilet or dropping your drawers to get in the shower? The view out our room was another room’s bathroom and a jumble of rooftop vents and access panels. Not a nice view. Make sure you get a room facing Calle Arenal or something.

Amazing breakfast! Super clean and in the heart of Madrid. One can walk anywhere within minutes. Staff is very amicable and helpful. I have been staying at Francisco 1 for the past 8 years and truly there is no other hotel like F1 in Madrid!

This was our first time in Madrid, and the Hotel Francisco was an excellent place to spend it. We were there for two weeks, and everything about the hotel was wonderful. Overall, the entire place has a modern, clean look. There is a small lobby with an adjacent lounge with a bar and snacks. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. One night my wife went down to the lounge after closing to ask if she could get some tea, and the bartender (Mai) set her up with a tray with a small electric kettle, pot, mug, and tea bags to take to the room.

Excellent! & Beautiful!

Beautiful clean hotel in the Center. Great A/C and excellent Breakfast! Wifi was super fast and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect!! 2 Metros nearby (SOL & OPERA), walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone!

This is our second time staying in this hotel. The hotel is in a fantastic location: 5 minutes from Plaza Mayor, 5 minutes from Plaza del Sol, 5 minutes from the Palacio Real. Hotel customer service is outstanding. We love the rooms with balconies.

Wonderful boutique hotel!!

I loved this hotel and so did my Mom! The rooms were big for a European hotel. Everything was clean and they had nice products. My room had a great view of the street below but wasn’t too noisy. She had an interior room which was quiet and she really liked her bed. It wasn’t too hard or too soft. AC worked well and so did the WiFi. Would stay there in again! Staff was friendly too and helped us with a cab to the airport, the driver came into the lobby and took all our bags, and used Waze to get us to the airport really fast!
