This hotel is a money-grab. My reservation was 88 pounds but, come to find out, there was a 26 pounds surcharge for a second person. So what was a reasonable charge quickly grew to be quite high. The beer selection is pretty poor - lots of carbonated and rather tasteless lagers. The breakfast banquet was quite nice. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station but, despite the high prices, there is a charge for the shuttle to the terminals. Overall, the 'greed factor' is quite high for a hotel that is well worn. The staff were professional.

Property although one of the original airport hotels has recently been renovated. It has a really nice reception area and public rooms. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Overall very nice.

Great night at the Crown Plaza. We had an early flight so being able to walk, less than 5 minutes, on a safe largely pedestrianised walkway was fantastic. We did a bag an evening bag drop so just had our under-seat bags, but it meant we found the Terminal, saw where Security was and walked back. It meant that at 5.30am we were confident of where we were and it was so easy. The late dinner was good quality and very enjoyable. Glass of wine not a poor house red. Bed very comfy. Room dark, quiet and ideal for us.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff. However getting to the hotel having arrived in Manchester by air was a nightmare. There was no advice on the website as to what we needed to do to get to the hotel. We wandered around for an hour before we got to the hotel

I didn't like that it is not actually the closest or most convenient Holiday Inn to the Manchester Airport. I went to the wrong IHG hotel and they could barely even tell me how to WALK to the other location. There was no shuttle available and they wouldn't even consider moving my room to their hotel even though both are IHG. When I finally did reach this hotel it felt much more like a Holiday Inn Express than the upscale Crown Plaza brand. I don't know how this location ranks the CP name but there we are.
