Hotel is close to the airport but instructions on how to walk there were difficult to find. For those that want to walk you need to exit the station from the West and follow the footpath around (to the south not the north as you might think from google maps). Then cross the road.

Excellent stay at the Double Tree

A truly excellent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport. From the moment I arrived, the staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality with their friendly, helpful demeanor. The signature warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in was a delightful touch – and the reception staff even treated me to an extra one! The room was immaculately presented and of high quality, perfect for my overnight business stay. The hotel's restaurant deserves special mention, serving food that exceeded my expectations in both quality and presentation. While my stay was brief, the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction was evident throughout. The convenient airport location combined with such outstanding service makes this DoubleTree an excellent choice for business travelers. While the proximity to the airport is a major plus for convenience, it's unfortunate that the experience is somewhat overshadowed by unpleasant odors in the hallway and rooms. If seeking comfort you should choose different accommodations. Hopefully, they can address these issue soon.

Much of a muchness

Room very much of a muchness, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, all the usual, shower over a bath and a shower curtain, not great if youre scared of slipping, a bit noisy as can hear the traffic and flights from outside so no good if youre a light sleeper, breakfast not great, bacon been kept warm so long it was like cardboard, eggs only scrambled, the breakfast room was like sat in a dining hall, no character just one huge function room! and £17 to park my car overnight, Good location for getting to the airport though beware if youre driving out of the car park to keep to the left hand lane or you will find yourself back on the motorway going away from the airport!
