Great airport hotel with Exceptional staff

From initial check-in to checking out I would have to say this 3-night stay has been memorably great. Located just 2 miles from the airport, and okay it's a little restricted on public transport options, but otherwise this hotel is perfect for an 'airport hotel' being it's main purpose. My room #346 was comfortable & clean, and fairly quiet overlooking the rear of the building. Facilities within the room were good, with usual the tea & coffee, TV, strong & dimmer lighting plus a fan & ironing equip. Bathroom was super clean, spacious and had an impressive shower. The included breakfast was very good, tasty and included all the choices you'd expect. Now, the staff: I have to mention this is probably the best group of hotel staff I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. Quite honestly, they were ALL that good, extremely pleasant & efficient. Whether staying here prior to flying out on holiday, for business or a leisurely stay(like mine), it's the perfect start & lasting impression. I must mention a few who were just simply exceptional though. Holly who checked me in and has the most amazing manner & smile. I had a couple of further encounters with her remarkable ways during my stay. Others who stood out were Steven, Fi Fi, Andrea, Lyndsey & housekeeper Maria. Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of them, and you could feel their sincerity. This is my very first experience of staying at a Holiday Inn(Express or otherwise), but will certainly not be my last.👏

Hotel was very welcoming when on arrival, explained the amentites, hotel room was very clean, staff is very prompt with their services as we had problems with the tv was very quick to resolve the issue, good variety of breakfast menu including pastries and all day breakfast and drinks all included with the price.

The ceiling in the restaurant at one corner has quite a bit of damp/ mold on it. The beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average, it’s the first hotel I’ve ever been in that does not serve fried eggs. Fried eggs with a piece of toast is all I eat which meant paying a lot for a bit of toast. Wife enjoyed other items that was present.

Efficient, clean and friendly

Quick nights stay before heading to the airport the next morning. Had a great check in, v friendly and efficient. Couple of drinks in the bar before an early night for the flight. Only complaint was that the bed wasn’t overly comfortable but I think that can be preference dependent on the person anyway.
