We booked and pre-paid ahead of time. We arrived at 8 pm to check in. There was a line and one blond woman working alone. She handled the place well, constantly reassuring customers that she would be with them shortly. We waited and right before it was my turn, another person stepped up to help. This other person with black hair did not have a pleasing smile or no-verbal or verbal communication skills. She checked me into the wrong room. When we walked into the assigned room, we saw that it had two queen beds with carpet vs. the one queen with no carpet we booked. Also, I added in the notes I was allergic to carpet. I called the front desk and the blond lady told me to go back to the front desk. She told me there were two Angelas and the other lady gave me the wrong booking. She also told me that she remembered my reservation and that they had run out of the rooms without carpet, but she figured she would wait until I arrived to tell me that. I asked if I could get my money back, and she responded that because I went through a 3rd party vendor, I would have to contact them. Both rooms had bad smells, old carpet, old everything. I did not sleep well, hard beds, tiny hard pillows, and I was itching all night. In the morning, the elevator smelled horrible. The continental breakfast was the only clean and organized thing in that building. The blond receptionist should have called me before I arrived to tell me about the carpet.
