Skip the Snowshoe crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet of mountain West Virginia at our peaceful and private alpine a-frame. Just you and the stars. Tranquility only 8 miles from the ski lifts/biking trails.

It’s all there for a perfect mountain getaway. Our home is a half a mile away - you enjoy quiet and privacy.

Our Alpine A-Frame is the perfect place to base your mountain adventure or to just relax in the quiet. We have built-in A/C, washer & dryer, a fireplace in the living room, an outdoor fire pit, and charcoal grill. The three bedrooms each have a queen bed, two are downstairs, and one upstairs in the loft which also has a half bath.

Please note there are 5 steps to enter.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be close to Pocahontas County Historical Society Museum. You'll find features such as laundry facilities. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the cabin.

Please turn the baseboard thermostats down to low, set the fireplace thermostat to 50, and make sure the white heat/AC remote is off.
Please press "Kwikset" button on the front door to lock it when you leave. Thank you!

Please be VERY careful with fire. Douse all ashes with hose/bucket before leaving or before going to bed. County regs prohibit camp fires before 5pm.
The water is spring fed, filtered, and treated with a UV light. We drink it, but if you're not comfortable with it bottled water is available nearby.

We loved this beautiful, peaceful a-frame in the woods. Excellent escape for a couple or family. We loved the huge wall of windows and view through the trees. We were there in late June and the temps during the day were perfect amd in the 70s. The location was perfect for Day trips to Elkins, Cass, and Greenbank. It's very close to Snowshoe. Owner Peter lives just up the road and was incredibly responsive and helpful. We would love to stay there again if we are in the area.
