Hot tub was closed/inoperative. Would have been nice after a long day of snowmobiling. Staff not friendliest. NO early check in. 4:00 firm. Tried and denied. Plus side…casino in same parking lot. Gas station on site for gassing up sleds. Continental breakfast was good and free. Rooms were clean and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at the White Pine Lodge. The staff was EXCELLENT! Everyone was so nice and treated us like guests. Our room was clean and everything in proper working order. The only disappointment was the breakfast but I understood the rationale. No waffles but since they were closing in seven days they couldn’t justify the expense of a large amount of batter that wouldn’t get used. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

All in all, it was a satisfactory stay. The exception would be the check-in process. Check-in was listed as 3:00 PM on my reservation sheet. I tried to check-in at that time and was told check-in was not until 4:00 PM. The desk clerk told me they had been trying to get Expedia to change the check-in time to 4:00 PM, to no avail. Who is at fault, is anybody's guess. The desk clerk was not friendly and seemed to be stressed.
