## Emplacement
La Ciotat is located in the middle of a large gulf, named Golfe d'Amour, 33 km from Marseille and 40 km from Toulon.
It is located in the heart of the Parc des Calanques. Its two calanques, which are Le Mugel and Figuerolles, differ from those of Cassis by their red color with typical shapes (beak of the eagle, dog’s head).
La Ciotat celebrates every year the memory of the plague of 1720, where it became the breadbasket of Provence, because it was the only maritime city spared by it: historic festival where the whole town transforms and dresses as in that time.
In the month of March, takes place the large regional boat show in the waters of the port.
