Just under a mile away is Martock with its local Ham stone buildings and mix of independent stores, cafés and convenience stores. A great day out can be found at the wonderful National Trust properties of Montacute House, Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor. Nearby the larger towns of Yeovil and Crewkerne can be reached in under 15 minutes with larger stores and entertainment venues. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
