Between the cockroaches in the rooms and the absolute worst check out experience we’ve ever experienced so we had to mark terrible. They scam you for every penny they can even when it’s a sick baby. Charged a large amount of hundred dollars to “special clean” bedsheets that had minimal impact to them. Housekeeping apparently told them a very different story regarding the situation. All lies! We thankfully had some great servers like Ignacio, Martin, and Tomas. We’ve been coming here for years but this was our last stay here unfortunately. Beware.

We stayed in a one bedroom elite with all inclusive. The rooms were spacious and in good condition. The water temperature fluctuations in the showers is crazy though. The entertainment shows are in the buffet area which seemed a little odd and it was quite loud but the performers were good. Victor and Angie with the activities group were a lot of fun. Solomon was a great server at the lobby bar. All the staff in all the Al a Carte restaurants were very good and so was the food. It would be nice if the RFID room key was attached to the wristband instead of a credit card style which is more difficult to keep track of. I would return to this resort.

We found the hotel and our room dirty and not maintained. Broken chairs, bird droppings on the loungers and all over the pool rocks that never seemed to be cleaned, cigarette butts and broken fake nails from the night before not swept around pool area. Our bedroom decorative pillows were dirty and when we had house cleaning (every other day) they did not clean toilets properly. Elevators dirty and cracked floors and Italian restaurant bathroom did not seemed to be cleaned. We had reservations for 5:30 (right when they opened) so you would expect they would have been cleaned.

Decent, my main complaint is not being able to use the private pool where theres no kids, apparently you need like a membership. Also we saw a few cockroaches at are room, we had booked a ocean view with nice balcony but we didnt receive that.

Room was clean, view was amazing (ignore the neighboring construction), staff was very courteous and helpful, multiple pools is a huge plus. There were a few setbacks. Plumbing was a bit of an issue. One of the bathrooms flooded while showering due to clogged drain and water temperature was impossible to regulate, either boiling hot or cold shower. A huge petty annoyance was no ice available for the rooms. With that said, overall it was a great stay, small drawbacks were not enough to discourage me from returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9-Day Stay at El Cid El Moro – Truly Memorable! I recently spent 9 days at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel in Mazatlán, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I booked the Elite All Inclusive package, and it was absolutely worth it! The staff were exceptional—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. From the front desk to the restaurant servers, everyone made me feel welcome and taken care of. Their service really elevated the whole trip. The food was another highlight. With the Elite package, I enjoyed delicious meals at several restaurants, and the variety was incredible—everything from authentic Mexican dishes to fresh seafood and international cuisine. The quality and flavor were top-notch every single day. The location was also super convenient. There were plenty of nearby shops and local markets just a short walk away, which made it easy to pick up souvenirs, snacks, or anything else I needed during my stay. Overall, my time at El Cid El Moro was relaxing, fun, and full of great memories. I’d highly recommend choosing the Elite All Inclusive package if you want the best experience possible—amazing food, excellent service, and extra comfort all around. I can’t wait to come back!
