Cottage on Private Upper Silver Lake Minutes From Sand Dunes!

Beautiful and Private Upper Silver Lake cottage with gorgeous lake views and only minutes away from downtown Silver Lake and the dunes! Enjoy the large deck off of the upper level when having morning coffee or grilling dinner! Updated interior includes open concept on main level with living, kitchen and dining area along with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Take the spiral staircase downstairs into the second living area with a pullout sofa, tv and electric fireplace. Two additional bedrooms downstairs with two full beds and one king bed. Jack and Jill bathroom on the lower level as well as the laundry room and second refrigerator! The lower level also features a sliding door to walkout to the lower level of the deck. Large yard down to the lake with a great firepit and deck with lounge chairs at the water. Take a fishing pole and catch all sorts of fish off of the two docks!

**Please advise the only interior staircase is a spiral staircase. There is a traditional staircase outside off of the deck with access to the lower level and sliding glass door to get inside the lower level**

Not what I expected

Pictures make it look bigger than it is. Found food in sofa. No usable closets downatairs. Definitely a place to lay your head and not a place to be stuck on a rainy michigan day with more than two people.

Great place at a great location. The house was clean and it had ample space for our group and a bonus of two refrigerators so space wasn't a problem for drinks and food. The upstairs bedrooms were small, just enough for sleeping / changing in but thats all you need anyway. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, which is always a plus with a VRBO. There was good fishing in the lake, with a few rock bass catches that were big enough to fry up and eat. The dock was very nice - we rented a pontoon for a couple days and it was great to dock it right there. Also good proximity to the dunes - nice short drive with the trailer to the parking lots.

perfect for getting over to the dunes

Place is great, woke up in the morning looking at the little inland lake. Kitchen has a lot of things so that you can cook your own food with ease. Do pay attention to the fact that they tell you about the winding staircase inside, it’s a bit narrow. We had our larger service dog with us, and he would not go up and down the stairs inside. But easily remedied!! It is easy to access both floors with large sliding doors that are on the lake side of the house (great views) . We stayed in the fall and really enjoyed the non traditional layout on two floor. We used upstairs for eating and hanging out, and night time downstairs. Full baths on both floors, jack and Jill bathrooms between the 2 bedrooms up, and 2 bedrooms down. The driveway is also long, so you felt a little tucked away, and cozy.

Nice getaway

We drive from Indiana with our baby, 5 year old, and dog. The lake was really calming and beautiful and the neighbors who stayed next to us were really friendly. Tons to do for kids around the area and really thoughtful touches to the property. There was a pack and play, games, several kid/baby utensils, and more than enough room for all of us. The only thing was that the spiral staircase was hard to use with a baby. We simply went outside and used the hill and it was fine. Would recommend!

Would do it again

First time in silver lake and this home was ideal. Very clean and well maintained and has everything you need away from home. Restaurants, attractions, dunes and beaches within short driving distance's. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable

We had 10 adults for the weekend. The house was exactly what we needed and everyone enjoyed it. Only thing I would warn about is for those of you who have Jeeps and keep your top down, there seems to be a sprinkler system. We woke up to the back of our jeep wet. Not a big deal as a quick wipe down fixed it. Overall we will be back.

Terrific lake-front property!

We have stayed at many vacation rental properties over the years and this was one of the best! The host, Whitney, was so very helpful! She responded quickly to any questions or needs throughout the booking process and stay. The property is beautiful, newly remodeled lake-front with awesome view and is very well equipped for guests' needs in every way. They even had firewood all ready in the fire pit for evening smores and roasted marshmallows! Also, it is less than 10 minutes from all local activities, including the Dunes, Craig's Cruisers, Mac Wood Dune Rides, grocery store, restaurants, beaches, etc. There were 8 of us, including ourselves (grandparents), our son and dil and our 4 grandchildren (teens and young adults) and we had plenty of room. Plenty of room for trailers and quads if you've come to ride the dunes. Highly recommended. We'll be back...

Dune trip weekend

We stayed here on our Dune trip and loved the cottage. It fit 8 people no problem as well as 3 trucks w/trailers and 1 smaller car. Communication with the host was great, the view of the lake as well as the upper deck made the trip perfect for unwinding during the evenings after being on the dunes all day. 10/10 will stay here again on our next trip -Jake
