The staff were lovely. The room was adequate size. The place needs updating, but it was relatively clean. Good location, sometimes a bit loud but most people were respectful of 10pm curfew. No windows or natural light. The lift doesn't go to the basement. Overall I would give a 7.5 rating. Laundry facilities are scary and no iron. It was freezing but they gave me an extra heater which really helped. The cafe was very handy with great food.

While the location was great and overall we enjoyed our stay and it was great value, there are several things that need to be improved. There were no staff available and no map provided to our room, so we spent ages going around 3 floors of 2 different complexes to find out room. We also couldn't ask anyone if it was ok to leave our suitcase anywhere on the Sunday for a few hours. While the electronic key is convenient for "after hours" (6pm on a Friday) check in, it is inconvenient as I was constantly stressed that my phone would die and we would have no way of getting in. The toilet seat was not attached and the hot water took ages to kick in. The apartment was also tiny, the pictures are certainly not of the studio we got.

Quiet room with easy access and directions. Half full shower gel left in sink, chocolate wrappers in bed. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable.

My apartment was really grim. I arrived to find that other than putting out fresh bedding and towels the place had not been cleaned. The floor and worn carpet were covered in debris and tiny silver stars (someone must have had a party there before leaving), the shower had hairs in it, the microwave was disgusting, and surfaces were unwiped. I complained via email and housekeeping did a cursory clean the next day, but clearly nothing had been moved as there were still silver stars and debris on the floor. This place is in dire need of a deep clean and looks nothing like the photos on the website. I could not face using the kitchen and was out of the apartment as much as possible. The swimming pool looks amazing in the photos on Expedia. In truth it was dirty and unused. As an added bonus there is little to no soundproofing and noise can be heard throughout the night - waste trucks, noise from restaurants and bars, drilling…. We had to buy earplugs on our second day. Finally check-in was really hard. I received no email as you are meant to 24 hours prior to arrival. Apparently despite never having had issues before my email address was not passed to them by Expedia. Reception were very helpful when I emailed them, but surely even the act of arriving at your hotel should not cause stress? I have written to the manager at the hotel and sent photographs of the state of the apartment, but have received no reply.

This is a great place in a really nice location. Not for everyone - it's an old building and the rooms are bespoke - it hasn't had the complete makeover that you see in most apartments, and it's rough on the edges, but is functional and funky. Seemed to have a lot of younger people staying. Big gripe though ... the check in and access is a f-ing nightmare! I don't know if they forgot to send me an email with instructions, but when you don't have reception you should at least answer your phone. Especially when I'm receiving texts asking me to call!! Called many times and not once did i get an answer. Online check-in form asks too many irrelevant questions and didn't want to accept my bank details even though the room was paid for in advance. After half a dozen attempts I gave up, and never heard anything about it again. The app required to access apartments seemed simple enough, but wasn't. Online video explainer showed entry through a door that you could not use, and the only access, through the Cafe, was more than weird, especially at night, in the dark! Thanks only to Cafe staff, I was eventually able to work it out and gain access. Do everyone a favour and answer your phone!!!!

The cobwebs? The strange bugs in the bedding, The dirty stained tiles, the property looked vastly different to the photographs online and during the booking process. Outdated key collection and entry information. Constant cigarette smoke smell from Other residents or rooms. Overall a 4/10 as the only good thing about this stay was the central location.

We loved our stay at Gordon Apartments! The location is excellent for a long weekend away as you can get to the major attractions in the city via foot or tram. Only criticism is that the apartment could do with a bit of a refresh (paint, deep clean), otherwise would highly recommend.

The apartment is in a unique building in a great spot. It had everything we needed with a kitchenette with nice touches like a coffee machine, milk, juice & chocolates. The bed was comfortable and the heater was efficient. The bathroom had a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shower was good but was a little stained. We had some noise from the apartment above us in the morning (we believe this was from walking over a wooden floor). Overall we were impressed with this apartment and will book again.

I would not recommend this stay despite excellent location close to chain town and many good eateries and the building being beautiful and the apartment was moderen with full use of appliances. The staff was extremely helpful easy contact through out however my reason for a low rating is roaches though out the apartment every night of the stay, as well for lack of heating minus two plug in heaters one which barely worked in sub 15-10 degree nights.
